included full police honors. the 28-year-old was killed last weekend responding to a domestic violence call in woodbridge. two other officers were shot and hurt at that same call. the community is coming together to support their recovery with a fundraiser. people donated money at old town sports pub in manassas for officers yesterday. part of the proceeds will also go to sean hickman who is recovering after a serious hit and run crash. 9:33. commotion on the metro last night. metro transit police responded to report of an assault on the navy yard station on the platform there just before the 9:30 at night. a group of transgender teens were play fighting when another person jumped in. we're told the person thought that the group was actually beating up a girl. someone then pulled a knife. a girl did get a minor cut during the altercation. she was taken to the hospital. police say they're still looking for the person who pulled the knife and they're investigating this as an assault. this morning a northern virginia family is searching for answers. this after their loved one was

two volunteer firefighters from stafford county are on administrative leave this morning. last week they responded to a mcdonald's in fredericksburg where an 18 month old girl was having a seizure. they decided to take her to the hospital in a fire truck because there weren't any ambulances close by. the fire chief says that the parents were supportive of that decision. the department put them on leave because the truck does not have proper equipment like an ambulance. the situation is under review.

clearing right now. there we are, getting a little bit of clearing. but again we'll continue with the clouds. but looking your way if you're traveling out of washington. looking good up and down the east coast and middle portion of the united states. so by 3:00, we start to see some sunshine out there. we'll go partly cloudy during the overnight. temperatures will fall this to the 30s once again, so another chilly start tomorrow morning. but then we'll warm up rather quickly throughout your monday. in fact temperatures tomorrow will be right around 60. and then by tuesday, right around 70 degrees. and then by wednesday, mid-70s. so no chances of rain throughout this week. we will see chance of rain by friday, but that looks slim. so we'll keep you updated. i know there are a lot of races out there today. it's really not too bad. good running weather and it will continue to be dry throughout the remainder of the day. go ahead and get the car washed if you want to. again, we'll be dry and we have a
