nice and light volume here this morning. 66 right now 95 right now, no major problems. you can see 95 southbound headed into the wood bridge owing area, not seeing any crash or anything. beltway at river road, running just fine. we're following a developing story this morning out of richmond. a training exercise turns deadly for a virginia state trooper in that city. trooper chad dermyer was shot and killed at the greyhound bus station thursday afternoon. his team was training on how to intercept drugs at places like bus terminals where when the trooper walked up and introduced himself to a man that's when the man pulled out a gun and shot dermyer several times at point blank range. the shooting continued inside the terminal injuries two other people before the suspect was shot by police. >> the shoulder continued to be combative once ems crews

at the capitol monday is faces new charges. la larry dawson was shot twooit after refusing to drop his bee bee gun. dawson is expected to be officially charged with assaulting a federal officer and federal employees with a dangerous weapon. as lawyers prepare for a retrial in the murder of washington intern chandra levy, news 4 plans to speak to levy's mother. susan levy is part of an art gallery exhibition starting today that will tell the stories of crime victims and their loved ones. chandra levy was found dead in rock creek park back in 2002. investigator revealed she was romantically involved with gary condit before she went missing in 2001. the retrial will be in march. right now rain is headed our way, but the same storm system has left behind some pretty severe damage. erika gonzalez has amazing video from the live desk. >> you are not

time is 16:15. a stab suspect on the run. the man stabbed someone he at the addison road metro station.victim is recovering from serious injuries. transit police say daniel brown is the suspect. they say he was handing out xres n express newspaper when he started arguing with another than. according to police, brown tackled the man, stabbed him and ran away. the incident is the latest high profile case for metro. last weekend 15-year-old davonte washington was gunned down in front of his family. a 17-year-old is chargeded with murder. in february, a map was shot during an attempted robbery on board a green line train approaching the anacostia station. patrols have been increased. assaults among crimes that have risen when compared to this same time in 2015.

two murders last year, a stabbing on the red lean train on july 4th and shooting in a metro garage ten days later. two people are dead after an officer involved shooting in downtown baltimore. police say plainclothes officers opened fire on two men after they saw the men aiming guns at someone on the street. automatic rifle and handgun. brussels airport is ready to reopen following the deadly terror attacks there last week. airport officials say they're waiting for security officials to give them the go ahead to partially reopen and start running flights. they did get approval from the fire department and the belgian civil air authority. there will not be any flights today, but flights could start this weekend. a new report warns on a serious security risk at federal buildings here in washington. across the country, monday's security threat at the capitol has heightened security
