than $90,000 worth of merchandise in her car. back then. a new report suggests the hacking at medstar health systems may have been easily preventible. the hackers broke into a computer server that had a known vulnerability. a person familiar with the investigation told the nbc washington app that hackers exploited a well-known design flaw on the medstar health network. urgent public warnings about the flaw began at least nine years ago. the fix is as simple as installing an available update. medstar says it continuously applies patches to fix vulnerabilities in their software. when we have issues with metro most of the time it has to do with the trains. but today a big problem involved new technology that is supposed to tell you when the bus will show up. it stopped working for some time. and that left riders frustrated and guessing. transportation reporter adam tuss has been following this story. he's joining us now from the weal
