new poll number and attacks. and the caps are looking ahead to the second round after a big playoff series win over the flyers. tonight, fairfax county investigating a suspicious death. a family member found the victim at the victim's home on gresh ham lane in fairfax county. darcy spencer has been talking people who live nearby. she is joining us with what she has learned. >> i can tell you fairfax county police are here several hours in to this investigation. let me show you with where it is taking place. right here at this town home, you can see the door is open. it is roped off with this red crime scene tape. as police continue the suspicious death investigation. there were tears and hugs outside of a town home where a

21-year-old man was found dead by a family member. the discovery made at the man's home in the centreville area of fairfax county just after 4:30 in the afternoon. he suffered trauma to his upper body. police are calling it a suspicious death. >> it's still early on in the investigation right now. detectives are trying to piece togethering the events that led to this tragedy. >> reporter: the man pronounced dead inside of the home. police collected evidence in and around the town home as friends and neighbors watched. as night fell, investigators could be seen behind the home scanning the yard for evidence. a hyundai sonata was towed from the scene. this neighbor says the victim was a student at george mason university and lived with his sister and parents. >> i just hope whoever it is they find him. like i said it is a safe neighborhood. it seems out of the ordinary. it seems like a lot of nice people live here. >> reporter: police say they are trying to trace the victim's last stto

the school's vice president said that edward blatz, jr. passed away today. he played lacrosse, originally from garden city, new york. the school is making grief counselors available. the university has not said how he died. the federal transit administration now investigating saturday night's incident on metro's red line in northwest d.c. that according to our news partners at wtop. the train operator reported the problem. they stopped and got everyone off. metro closed all stations between van ness and medical center. nobody was hurt. the washington capitals moving on. heading to the second round after eliminating the flyers today in philadelphia. carol maloney is joining us. not easy for the players and fans, as well. >> you have to remind yourself to breath while you are on the couch. you know it is not an easy day.

a police van. baltimore became the focal noint the national debate over police treatment of african-americans. today, activists faith leaders and protesters marched in a community resource rally. they started at the mall where people clashed with police during a night of looting and arson following gray's funeral. the unrest sparking changes in the city >> if it were not for the uprising, i feel confident the mayor would have run again. if it weren't for the uprising we would have had the same police chief. because of the uprising, things we have tried to sweep under the rug are in full display and will have to be addressed. >> gray died a week after suffering spine and neck injuries. investigators say he got in the police van. six officers facing various charges in connection with his death but none of the cases have been resolved. a massive manhunt underway in southern ohio tonight where authorities are looking for whoever is responsible for killing eight memrs

family execution style. early friday. we have the story tonight. >> reporter: more than 100 members of law enforcement are involved in what's called a large-scale investigation. as authorities search for whoever is responsible for the massacre of eight members of one family at four locations. authorities confirm that marijuana growing operations were discovered at three of the four crime scenes, but won't comment on a possible motive. ohio's attorney general calls the killings cold blooded and calculated. >> imagine four houses within a relatively short period of time were hit and eight people were executed in those houses. that is not something that happens spontaneously. >> reporter: the victims have been identified. all members of the rodan family and police warn other members of the family could be at risk. >> i have specifically told the family i would be armed. i would use what extent they have to to protect
