lagoon area and the attack happened in front of the boy's parents. sarah dallof joins us from lake wou buena vista, florida. >> reporter: the search continues for the young boy. the father and son were reportedly playing in the water last night in about a foot of water when this alligator attacked, dragging him off. the father reportedly tried to wrestle his son from the alligator. he sustained a minor injury while doing so. but he was not successful. this gator is described anywhere between 4 to 7 feet long and his family was visiting here at walt disney world from nebraska. officials say they are committed to recovering this young boy, although they do acknowledge the difficulty of this search. >> as a father, as a grandfather, we are going to hope for the best inse

he bought ammunition and a holster and she is also admitting to driving him to pulse nightclub here at one point to stake out the place. he alerted her to his plans to carry out this attack, according to law enforcement source. but she never notified them. so they are considering charges, even though she is now cooperating with the fbi investigation. we can tell you that agents have visited her parents' home as part of their investigation, but as far as when charges could come down, if she is charged, we are told the fbi is in no rush. they want to make sure they have a thorough investigation rather a speedy one. >> thank you, blake. 27 of the 53 injured in the shooting remain hospitalized and six still list inside critical condition and one is profoundly ill. one survivor 20-year-old patience carter lost multiple friends in the shooting and she was one of the victims held hostage in the bathroom with the shooter. yesterday, she read from a poe

from the crime scene in port st. lucie with her husband and 3-year-old son. she told federal authorities she was with her husband when he bought ammunition and a holster that were used during the attack. she also said she drove him by the crime scene by the bar so that he could, quote, scope it out. she told the federal authorities she tried to talk him out of his plan. again, charges could be filed against her. three fbi agents have talked with her family members in northern california. her father-in-law revealed some information that could point to the state of mind of his son-in-law. he applied to the police academy, a life-long dream, but was rejected. then the florida department of law enforcement said that he had filed a complaint saying the reason he was turned away was because he was muslim. >> leanne gr
