[ crying ] if you know something, please come forward. >> reporter: her 20-year-old son, antoine, shot and killed in miami beach over the weekend. accorging to reports, he was celebrating his older brother's birthday when a fight broke out and bulletslew amidst the stuffel. decade hit in the chest. the scene at 9th and collins as the police conductedheir investigation early sunday morning. the shooting happened around 1:00 in the morning, many spring breakers on the street running for cover. the 20-year-old collapsed by an officer, he died at jackson memorial hospital. his mother sacd he leaves behind a young child. >> i don't know what to tell

fire, on the driver's side at that, it just looked awful. >> reporter: jason called 9-1-1 and julie and the other man ran to help the driver. the smoke filling up the suv. >> he was flailing around and just be calm, i'll hold the door up and push yourself up and we'll pull you outut >> that's what they did. julie climbed up to help the driver out on the passenger side and then they helped the man to their home, putting distance between them and the suv. the driver, jason, was driving drunk. but the driver has a different story, explaining why he lost control. >> my frontnd kept pulling to the right and i pulled back. >> so you weren't drunk and. >> no. i think it was just a mechanical malling function on the truck. >> reporter: budo, who suffered minor injuries, said that he's more grateful than anything else.

give me a chance to be heree today. >> reporter: the police said that the drivewill be summoned to court on charges of dui. i'm christine cruz, 7 news. >> lynn: coming in off the satellites, a dog sled race. officials investigating whether it was an accident or maybe an attack. one dog is dead and several others injured after a man drove his snow machine into the dog sledding team. the driver said that the incident wasn't intentional, but others are not so sure. >> i turned around because i was concerned. and i have are i just had so much adrenaline, and it may have seemed like i was driving erratically, but my blood was pumping and i felt really bald. >> it was so incredibly close to my sled and my team, it was well lit with lights and reflecttors,

>> lynn: the driver is being held on assault, reckless driving and criminal mischief. >> danielle: leading the police on a high-speed chase. they whipped through streets in los angeles. after just about an hour-long pursuit, the chase came to an end in glendale. and the officials opened fire, killing that suspect. >> reporter: a big rig proving to be no match for bad winds in washington. the truck flipped over on its side. and the officials shuttinin down the roadway for hours as the other drivers struggled to remain up rate. >> it pushed me over as i ran up to the truck. i could see it starting to lean. d then all of a sudden -- >> lynn: it was also a wild ride

explosion in afghanistan. crushing his pelvis and breaking both hips and his back. the doctors said that he would never walk again,ut bailey was determined to not only defy doctor's orders, but get back on his bike. >> that's my release. you have guys that go to war and do things that a human shouldn't do and see things that a human shouldn't see, so you need that release or you're going to explode or implode. >> reporter: bailey's bike had a custom paint job, a reminder of his time in combat and a purple heart as a remainder. >> i fought cowards all over the world. and then i come here and someone comes and takes a possession of mine. >> reporter: bailey says that he has yet to get angry over what happened. and at night when he comes home, he still expects to see his bike in the garage. bailey retired from the marines

5:00, officials making a tragic discovery on the water days after a father goes missing. that fathe was test driving a wave runner with you he would never make it back to shore. >> belkeys: 7's lynn martinez is live at news desk with more on this. lynn. >> lynn: this is so sad. this m say father. florida fish and wild life say they discovered the body of this man who went mission on saturday as you mentioned. sky force hd over the scene a short time ago at antonio ma say o park at northwest 7th street in miami and there's a lake at pa that park. 46-year-old jose mon test de o ca disappeared saturday after officials say he took a wave runner out for a test drive in the lake. however he never returned. and the a wave runner was recovered and they were looking for him at shoreline. and the coast gored searched for him saturday a a sunday and today this father of four. they say he was wearing all black.
