overnight. trying to remove a semi- truck dangling after crashing into a canal. it happened in largo at the intersection of indian rocks road and adrian avenue. 10 news reporter beau zimmer has the latest. largo police suspect alcohol may have been a factor saying the driver did show signs of impairment. while emergency

scene. a second driver sped through the closed intersection. that driver was later arrested for d.u.i. meanwhile the search also continues in pinellas county. that's after florida highway patrol says a man ran away after causing a huge crash near roosevelt boulevard and u-s 19. a trooper was trying to stop him for going 90 in a 55 mile-an-hour speed zone. that's when the driver lost control and hit one car, setting off a chain- reaction crash with two more cars. this is the honda civic the suspect was drg. you can see the entire front end is completely smashed in, but he was able to run away. take a good look. this is the guy troopers and police are looking for in the white tank top. they say he ran through the parking lot of the carmax off roosevelt, and then into a nearby motel-- where he was caught in this surveillance video. deputies used helicopters and k- 9s to search but they couldn't find him. if you know or saw anything, get in touch with the florida highway patrol or crime

in polk county-- deputies are looking for a man who drove away after hitting a deputy and a woman on the side of the road. the deputy is in the hospital--and will have surgery later this week. the 33-year-old woman was killed. it happened early saturday morning in the median of state road sixty in lake wales. deputy adam pennell was helping the woman after she crashed her car. investigators say as they were standing there-- another driver slammed into them, and then drove away. much to go on. they're hoping someone saw the crash and will help them find the hit- and-run driver. if you know anything-- call the polk county sheriff's office. right now a three-year-old is recovering from a serious accident at home. parents, you need to hear this one. the pasco sheriff's office says it happened at a home in the "hudson estates neighborhood." a television fell on top of the child. the three-year- old was taken by helicopter to bayfront medical center in saint pete. injuries from falling t-vs are
