overnight. trying to remove a semi- truck dangling after crashing into a canal. it happened in largo at the intersection of indian rocks road and adrian avenue. 10 news reporter beau zimmer has the latest. largo police suspect alcohol may have been a factor saying the driver did show signs of impairment. while emergency

scene. a second driver sped through the closed intersection. that driver was later arrested for d.u.i. meanwhile the search also continues in pinellas county. that's after florida highway patrol says a man ran away after causing a huge crash near roosevelt boulevard and u-s 19. a trooper was trying to stop him for going 90 in a 55 mile-an-hour speed zone. that's when the driver lost control and hit one car, setting off a chain- reaction crash with two more cars. this is the honda civic the suspect was drg. you can see the entire front end is completely smashed in, but he was able to run away. take a good look. this is the guy troopers and police are looking for in the white tank top. they say he ran through the parking lot of the carmax off roosevelt, and then into a nearby motel-- where he was caught in this surveillance video. deputies used helicopters and k- 9s to search but they couldn't find him. if you know or saw anything, get in touch with the florida highway patrol or crime

in polk county-- deputies are looking for a man who drove away after hitting a deputy and a woman on the side of the road. the deputy is in the hospital--and will have surgery later this week. the 33-year-old woman was killed. it happened early saturday morning in the median of state road sixty in lake wales. deputy adam pennell was helping the woman after she crashed her car. investigators say as they were standing there-- another driver slammed into them, and then drove away. much to go on. they're hoping someone saw the crash and will help them find the hit- and-run driver. if you know anything-- call the polk county sheriff's office. right now a three-year-old is recovering from a serious accident at home. parents, you need to hear this one. the pasco sheriff's office says it happened at a home in the "hudson estates neighborhood." a television fell on top of the child. the three-year- old was taken by helicopter to bayfront medical center in saint pete. injuries from falling t-vs are

think. and in many cases they can be deadly. in 20-10, there were 20-thousand emergency room visits for injuries related to falling t-v's. that's according to the consumer product safety commission. there are three things you can do to prevent falling t-v injuries. one-- keep toys or anything a child might try to grab away from the top of the t-v. two-- move your t-v away from the edge of a stand or the furniture it's on. three-- anchor your t-v to the ground or a wall. 2016 is sure to go down as one of th elections in us history.. and its not just the presidential campaign. on sunday there were fireworks between campaign supporters for two different circuit judges in hillsborough county. who started arguing in the parking lot of an early voting location at the jan platt library in tampa. things got so heated. tampa police even showed up to make sure things didn't escalate. no one was charged with any crime, but witnesses say the whole situation definitely got out of hand. the two candidates themselves showed

was at fault. circuit judge elections are supposed to be non-partisan. and witnesses say what happened is highly unusual. early voting has only been going on in florida for a week... and already, two women in south florida are accused of violating elections laws. in one case...a temporary election worker is accused of "filling-in" ballots that were originally left black...then scanning them into the system. in those cases...the race in question was for miami mayor. another woman working on behalf of the medical marijuana been accused of filling out voter registration forms for people without their consent. both women face third-degree felony charges. with eight days until the election, the fbi is moving forward with its investigation of a laptop used by hillary clinton's top aide. the f-b-i is reading through thousands of emails found on a laptop shared by huma abedin, and her estranged husband anthony weiner. abedin says she didn't know her emails were on that computer. the effort to find out if the emails have anything to do

clinton's private server could stretch past election day. hillary and bill clinton will both be in the bay area tuesday for campaign events. donald trump is calling the email investigation the biggest political scandal since watergate. during a stop in colorado, trump also spoke about vice president joe biden possibly becoming secretary of state. he claims biden is exhausted and already turned the job down. trump urged his supporters to vote, but said he's skeptical about the election system. aother massive hq central italy. looking at this damage-- it's amazing that so far there are no reports of any deaths. that's because thousands of people still haven't returned to their homes since another huge quake back in august. that one killed more than 300 people and flattened entire villages. the epicenter of sunday morning's earthquake was near norcia -- about 100 miles northeast of rome. the 6-point-6 quake was the the strongest to hit the area in decades. you can hear the

more video from inside a church shows a chandelier swinging-- while people continue with mass. outside another church-- nuns go running into the street while firefighters rush to help. dozens of people were hurt, and six were pulled alive from the rubble of a building. st. peol trying to figure out why a man broke into the florida holocaust museum. they say nothing was stolen or broken, but 23- year-old christopher venegas was inside for several minutes. police got a look at surveillance video that shows him kicking and breaking an electronic security panel before he went inside the building. the florida holocaust museum says security measures kept venegas from getting past a delivery area. venegas was arrested and released on bond. new this morning-- a family friend of jose fernandez tells 10news-- the

never have made headlines! the miami-dade county medical examiner announced on saturday, fernandez had cocaine and alcohol in his system when he and two friends were killed in a boat crash. ralph fernandez-- a close family friend, but not a relative of jose fernandez-- is calling the release of that information "unlawful." he says the criminal investigation into the boat crash is far from over: investigators

to someone else driving the boat, not jose fernandez. major league baseball players have been tested for performance- enhancing drugs since 2004, but they're not randomly tested for drugs like cocaine. this is getting a lot of talk on facebook this morning. someone in the stands during wisconsin's football game saturday had on this offensive costume. the fan is dressed in a black- and-white stripped jumpsuit, with an obama mask, and a noose around its neck. the girl who posted this picture on twitter wrote "this is was this allowed into the stadium? university of wisconsin asked them to remove the offensive parts of the costume-- but they left the game altogether. the university of wisconsin called the costume "repugnant"-- but said the person wearing it was exercising their right to free speech.
