morning anchor ian reitz. i am allison kropff. seven days until election day and as we head into the last week, clinton and trump are scrambling to earn votes in florida. our state could decide the election. this is a live look as folks are lining up at the college. hillary clinton will be there in a few hours. you can see a line of supporters and those gates will open in the next few moments. the rally is this afternoon.

clinton will push supporters to cast ballots ahead of the election. >> reporter: one of the reasons why we have seen hillary clinton put -- push hard for early voting is because of the possible benefits it has for democrats over republicans. early voting has been a focus of her campaign and it was a focus of her stop in tampa last weekend and a big focus today which takes the stage here and pasco county. the new york times put together a fascinating report that s early voting in swing states particularly in states like florida that could decide the election. clinton and trump are neck to neck in this race to win florida so they are going to make every effort to win this day. that is clear from all of these last-minute visits you are seeing on top of hillary being here in pasco. we had mike pence yesterday. former president bill clinton will be in st. pete today and trump will stop across the state tomorrow as it is all on

man on the alafia river. he went jet skiing with his three-year-old son. the little boy is okay. he was found alone on a small island. hillsborough county sheriff has helicopters in the air and boats on the river looking for 38-year-old william morris. the boy, the jetski, and lifejacket were found at the math -- mouth of the alafia river. morris his wife got worried and contacted his cell phone. the three-year-old boy was able to answer the phone using facetime and tell his mother he didn't know where his father was. she call for help. crews searched last night but they had to stop that search early in the morning hours.>> boats of all sizes will continue to use on our. today with daylight it will be better visibility on the water than we had a 1:00 this morning. we will be retracing our steps and continue to search for this

this to a conclusion. >> before deputies could get to him on the island someone spotted the boy and stayed with him until deputies arrived. an awful scene in baltimore. six people dead after the school bus collided with a transit bus earlier today. there were 10 others taken to the hospital. the school bus driver was killed. we have learned there were no children on the bus. mark albert has more.>> reporter: -- >> reporter: families that their loved ones are coming home. >> no children were aboard the school bus that collided with a maryland transit administration public bus. the driver of the school bus died and five more aboard the mta bus. >> obviously folks were on the bus this time of the morning. and they are on their way to make a living into their jobs

of both buses shearing off the side of the mta bus and crumbling the front end of the school bus and scattering debris all over the road. >> it literally look like a bomb exploded in the bus. catastrophic damage. >> the bus struck the rear and then hit a concrete pillar. before veering into oncoming traffic right into the path of the mta bus. >> there are new skidmarks say something catastrophic took place. >> shauna aldrich heard a saw the wreckage. >> i couldn't believe this happened even being as how the traffic conditions were relatively light. >> it will take a lot of resources to figure out exactly what happened. mark albert, cbs news. at this point in of the victims identities have been released. any way for you to get across the bay. this is the crossbay ferry to connect tampa and st. petersburg.

board. how is it going?>> reporter: it is a bit breezy but it is amazing. it was about under an hour to get from st. pete to tampa and now we're heading back to st. pete. you can see tampa way in the background there. and then this is the outdoor area where you can enjoy sitting out in the sun. there is a covered area that is plenty of seating for people and plenty of standing room. mayor kriseman is here enjoying his first right on the ferry. something that he spearheaded and was passionate about. it brought st. pete and tampa and pinellas and hillsborough county together. you will be able to write the ferry this weekend. tickets go on sale today. if you really want to try it out without paying for it it will be $10 each way, you can come out the week of

wednesday that week they will offer free rides across the bay. try it out. they want to target commuters but they know with only one boat and limited time they may not be able to get a lot of commuters on the boat. they want people to think about whether it would be an option for them. if they can get the ridership they may expand this next year. we will preview this for you with videos. air-conditioned area we can show you and give you a general idea of what it is likely ride the ferry. i will have that for you tonight and 5:00. looking forward to hearing more. there will be 100 shiny new bikes at 10/2 around the city. business owners in downtown st. pete hope it will commute -- connect them with the community more. you can see along the waterfront and central avenue corridor. second avenue near the st. pete nizam, that is where the ferry

there will be congestion during rush hour. you can pick up a bike and continue. animal abuse registry ordinance goes into effect today for hillsborough county. you can sign up for a registry but it will deny them to adopt. biking is good for your heart and you don't have to do it as often as you think. >> a father make sure he celebrates halloween with his daughter. coming up, we will tell you how you can play golf with cici i spent 22 years in the air force, and i was a republican for every one of them.

model. it really gives them the relevant hands-on unique education that prepares them for not only graduation but for life. >> cici has a soft spot in his heart for the kids. >> he does. someone helped him when he was young so he tells them, you know somebody helped me and i will help you. >> and golf plays a part in the program. >> it does. the kids go to school so we unique. i don't think there's another one in the country. they help run the pro shop and they will help mark merchandise and customer service. those of the things that resonate with the kids as they start to link classroom work with real-life. >> you know you have to be patient if you play golf. >> he teaches them to be patient and ask for help. a lot of adults could use that advice. >>

that is it. this is what we will see for the afternoon. a lot of clear blue sky. and warm temperatures. most of us in the 80s. 82 tampa, 83 carrollwood. likely to hit 87 before all is said and done later today. it will warm up. we want the 90s on the board so it won't be superhot but we will stay warm as we had to the evening as well. we stay dry and that is important. so this pattern continues for the new stream. this is friday. this starts to move a little bit farther to the south. what this will do is pushing the next frontal boundary through and that will bring cooler weather just in time for the weekend. through the weekend we see this northwest flow in the upper levels and that will keep driving in the cool air straight to the weekend. we will get a few days with nice cool temperatures in here which will time out really well

festival. thursday if you are heading out it will be on the warm side. we will see a moister influx ahead of that but it will be muggy but not bad. temperatures around 87 and lots of sunshine. on friday, that is when the front moves through. we will stay dry but can't rule out isolated rain chances in the afternoon as the front comes in and that will help to drop the temperatures. saturday while we're still breezy because the front is to the south we are looking great as temperatures fall back 70s. look at the readings on sunday morning. this is when we will see the dose of cool air settling in. when a front moves through is usually the second morning after the front that is the cool day and that will time out exactly here so a lot of 50s for the bay area and a few 60s but low 60s. low 50s possible for the nature coast.

afternoon possible but notice we are on the tail end of this so inland communities will be more likely to see rain. i will put the coverage between 20% and 30%. most of us should stay dry and everything in the way of a rain chance is gone by the time we had to saturday morning. there is still a breeze there but overall really nice with daytime highs around 80 degrees. we won't get out of the 70s on friday. low 60s overnight and down to the 50s for sunday. just a heads up, a cherry on the sunday of set the clocks back. you get an extra hour of sleep. then let's get a boost. we continue the cool air into next week as well and we stay in the low 80s. get a good weekend weatherwise. an extra hour of sleep. you can be that. this dad is called father of the year. >> what he did for his daughter to make sure she got to go trick-or-treating.

halloween. he passed out candy to everyone on the flight so his daughter could walk down the plane i'll in her costume and collect the candy. these are posts on social media from the flight. he gave everyone with a treat and a note saying he wanted to bring trick-or-treating to his daughter so if you wouldn't mind please pass out candy when she comes down the aisle.>> he made her day even though they were flying. >> i hope she didn't have a ga flight. >> this afternoon we should be in great shape. >> we will be a little bit on the warm side but not maggie so that 87 will feel good. mid to upper 80s for the most week and friday the front comes in and look at the weekend temperatures, highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s and we get an extra hour of sleep on sunday
