well, this presidential election certainly has brought out a lot of negativity. so much so, it might be hurting the chances of a shelter dog, of all things, finding a home. casey cumley shows you why a dog named clinton help tonight. >> reporter: shake? shake? good boy. he is a dog with skills. but for five months the folks at pasco animal services have been struggling to find this guy a home. >> he is a senior dog. >> reporter: i think that's up for debate. >> everybody that comes in, they pant puppies and cute things -- they want puppies and cute things. >> reporter: again, this 7-year- old boy came in as a stray and someone at the shelter named him clinton.

5:16 pm
good boy. >> oh, i want a kiss from that clinton. >> we are voting on facebook as we speak. oh, my goodness. if you are interested in adopting clinton, we hope you do, he is available at the pasco animal services along with many other bipartisan dogs and cats. [ laughter ]. oh, four more days. let's get this over with. all right, guys. good looking weather this afternoon. we have got some sprinkles again. we talked about it yesterday. look where they are. theye riverview northward. riverview is the one that was coming through. went through brandon. a light sprinkle. that has fallen apart. over downtown tampa and headed to ray jay. right in there, that's the stadium, so if you are tailgating out there, all four you have at this point, there will be more. but that is gonna be a quick sprinkle and that's it. that's the end of the rain chance. now, citrus and hernando county, look at floral city, that's a good downpour coming through. it will fall apart. it won't last long.
5:17 pm
lake lindsey could see a sprinkle and into brook ridge. the odds of this making it into northern pasco are slim. i can't rule out a stray shower from hudson eastward a cross. this is the back of the line. you can see that right here. similar to what we saw the last couple of days as well, too. it's going to be a dry forecast for the game tonight. mid-70s. now, low 80s right now, but it will fall into the mid-70s and partly sunset around 6:44. the falcons are in town. all right. the overnight lows a degree or two cooler than this morning. it's not a big difference. you may notice it. about 66, 67 we made 68 this morning. a patch or two of fog to get your friday started. that's the good news. it's friday. that is a look at your friday afternoon and early evening hours. this is 9:30. most of the day tomorrow is
5:18 pm
citrus and hernando county a small chance for a shower, 10 to 20%. the rain falls apart. tarpon springs, lakeland, bradenton, sarasota, i don't think we see much rain out of it. this is 2:30 in the morning, technically saturday morning, late friday night, and pushing through with the front. so now the latest models are saying the front comes through a little bit later. there is not as much of a push behind it because of that. what that means is that, yeah, we wi 84 degrees. but the air behind it will be basically dry and not as cool as we initially were thinking. it will be cooler. upper 70s to near 80, but close to 80 degrees. the pollen levels from friday all the way through the weekend stay in the moderate range. ragweed, elm, and grass. we kick off the st. pete wine and food fest tonight. tacos and tequila. mid-70s out there. a beautiful night for that. beer night looks better for
5:19 pm
deal with it. it will be slightly cooler because the cooler and drier care will be trying to come in. 74 to 75 degrees. the push of cooler air comes in after midnight. saturday and sunday it will be fantastic. upper 70s to near 80 degrees. a little bit breezy on saturday. so we're getting a small taste of this air mass here. it's coming down across the northeast. it's not coming down across the great lakes. that's the reason we small taste of it. it's enough to lower the temperatures. mid-80s the last several days. low 80s by sunday, monday, and tuesday and then a reinforcement shot wednesday and thursday and that could put us into the upper 70s by thursday afternoon. a lot of milestones after the cubs' world series win. this is video from the louisville slugger museum and factory.
5:20 pm
their world series championship bats have chicago written on them. not clear who got the first bat, but you can guess it is probably worth quite a bit of money right there. and we are using the cubs' win to try something new and different. it is a new way to hear what you think real-time. about 15 minutes ago we asked you to let us know how you feel about ben zobrist and joe maddon winning with the cubs. you can see on the bottom of your screen right there the results are in. them. we are gonna keep asking you questions like this to get you involved with "10news at 5." stay tuned for a new round of questions on "10news at 6."
