we did have flooding earlier in the day. the rain is pulling away and there's one more little system in the pipeline. see that one right there? that's going to be passing by to our south tonight. so we'll watch southern suburbs, but we're glad to ditch some of this rain and let me tell you it was substantial, a lot of places picking up over an inch of rain and that is on top of the melting snow that we were getting around the region. we're keeping a close eye onon some of the streams and creekss down towards charles county and st. mary's county where you picked up 1.2 inches of rain.f here is a site for sore eyes. e we got up into the low 50s as early as 10:00 this morning and it's still very comfortable out there now, so the snow pack is melting away quickly. it's 49-degrees and let me show you this.you that is right now, 20-degrees warmer than it was 24 hours ago. but of course we anticipated a big melt off today and those streams and creeks have just about all they can take. we don't have a floo w

inch of ice and then following that the rapid snow melt.elt. here just like about every where in the area, the exception probably being southern maryland. you don't even see much snow on the ground anymore. so any of those inches that did accumulate was then iced over, o but then so quickly melted away by the combination of the rising temperatures overnight and the rising waters much as sue mentioned, the flood watch hasah been cancel. this is probably the worst of of what we're seeing. earlier this afternoon when we going through the flood watches on any creeks and streams it was pretty localized like this.. dry weather is settling in andn we shouldn't have any more problems as we go through the latest of the evening. > we are following a shocking arrest involving a long time swim coach the at st. mary'ss college in maryland. maryland state police say they arrested andre bash instance last friday. he was charged with child pornography.
