thunderstorms fire up this evening that were severe. 's lei would call your attention to one batch of rain that is up towards the martinsburg and hagerstown keith ease area, that is weakening as it continues to move to the southeast. it's started in. i think the big story tonight came out of montgomery county, not only did they have heavy rain and a lot of hail, but between olney and brookdale a lot of flooding problems and they remain under a flood warning until three:30. that's because while the streams and creeks are slowly rising they are coming up and you have to be careful. i wanted to show you the big picture as we put our storm system in motion for the last six hours loadedded with lightning and hail and just a small sampling of all the storm reports. all of the dots represent where the national

weather service received a report flooding. flooding is what we're going to focus. this is the area between brook veil and bright and at 97. that ises as of eight:30, still one to two feet flooding across brookville rode in brook villian that is why we have teisha lewis in brookville. teisha was chasing storms all afternoon and evening. what is the very latest out there? >>reporter: well, sue, the water has subsided but you can see behind me county crews on are site. they are monitoring and evaluating this, what you're taking a look at right now. this is market treat and this is a bridge here on market street and what we're told is that this area is closed and could be closed for the next several hours because of debris and vegetation and what one of the workers described to me as this bridge being overwhelmed due to today and tonight's heavy

rainfall and downpours. he he says that this happens when you get a lot of rain in a short amount of time. can see the county trucks here and behind the trucks, they have been essentially laying out some cones and also barriers and making sure people know that this roadway is closed. now, it's dark right now, but there is an suv that is still here hours after the driver was rescued. i want you to see these pictures that were tweeted out by p montgomery fire and rescue spokesperson pete pair jer. these are the pictures of the rescue that took place moments after the rainfall. now, we'll get more on that in just a few minutes. first, this is what we saw on our way here, several areas and z roadways closed and blocked off due to flash flooding. again, this is all the aftermath of tonight's heavy rainstorm that passed through the area. first spoarnds warning drivers to turn around,

southwest. tonight police are trying to figure out what he was doing with the blood he collected. fox5 ass lauren demarco is live tonight in northwest. lauren, what do we know about this? >>reporter: shawn, this is so bizarre and there are so many questions tonight, the biggest of which is why, why was this man collecting people's blood? he is 43 year old qayew he pleaded not guilty here at d.c. superior court and' was release on his own recognizance. our camera was rolling as he came out and ran present reporters. around 2 p.m. yesterday a police officer heard a group of people saying they were getting paid $30 each to give blood inside of an apartment at p 0p street. that's public housing not far from nats park. a woman inside told police it was her unit and she was participating under a work disud did i under the direction of between. between told oic

company called boston bio source and he was authorized to be drawing blood from citizens, but d.c. public health says he is not a medical licensed director in the district. n's' lawyers spoke with reporters including my colleague alexandrialy mofnlt he said he just met wen this morning and he is how he responded when he was asked why this guy would be collecting blood? >> i'm not sure. i got to talk to hip, though. >> does he have a medical license of any kind that you know of. >> not offhand, he no. i don't know. he seems like a very nice guy. he was very easy to talk to. we just have to wait and see what happens with respect to the outcome of the case. >> what did you see exactly? a. it was just a long line. i don't know why they wanted people's blood. it was weird to me, too. i thought it was a doctor or something that was doing it. i don't know. >> according

report wen collected blood from about 40 people over tuesday and wednesday, but he also had a log listing more than 200 other names. police say that they recognized some of people as habitual drug users in the community. we looked into this company, boston bio source that wn claims to work for. on their website they say that they collect and provide specimens, including blood, plaza and tissue for research projects. i called them, left a voice male h this afternoon, still waiting to hear back. wen meantime is due back in court next month. live in northwest, lauren demarco, fox5 local news. >> now to a fox5 a followup, neighbors are questioning the safety of a stretch of roadway in prince george's county teen died in a crash. norman white lost control of his car and crashed into a tree on tuesday night. neighbors say it is not the first fatal crash. fox5's marina maracco is live in clinton with the

>>reporter: tony to give you some confection here, in the past four years there have been four fatal accidents here on temple hill road, the two, most recent oneses happened in the past six months and just blocks away here there's an elementary school just blocks from the scene of the crash on tuesday and although you see the photo enforcement signs here, the speed cameras have been moved leaving this this area without a single speed deterrent. this is cellphone video from tuesday's night's fatal accident fire crews working to get 17 dwreer old norman white out of his car after he lost control and crashed into a tree. it was a rainy night on this curvey stretch of temple hill road that has a speed limit of 35 miles per hour and to be clear the accident remains under investigation and police have not said what caused the young man to lose control of his car. but tonight neighbors hearsay they're fed up. they believe the stretch of road playeded some sort of role in the accident. they say for the past years here

witnesses and have come running out of their homesvits. one family hearsayses they've witnessed several accidents where the victims have taken their last breaths at that very embankment where normal white died tuesday night and now they're demanding action from their leaders. just crashing up in the woods. it's just a terrible road. i saw one about a month ago coming this way, a truck flipped over and i drove past and he was banking to get out. and i just made a turn and called the police. we've been complaining about that road and for years nothing was done about it. so a 17 year old man who had a promising p future had to die in order for you to say okay, well, let's take a look at this road and see what's really going on with the road. i want to know why it took so lofnlgt what i think they're going to end up doing is probably put a speed camera right here or something like that a.

the city is about monday. they don't want to spend money to fix it. they want money to go back into their pockets. so they'll put a speed camera here to make people slow down, but that won't again. today we caught up with prince george's county councilman franklin. this is his district. he says the best deterrent for people who come down speeding on temple hill road is a speed camera. >> is that stretch of the road even eligible under state law even eligible for a raised tonight. do you have a timeline once you you get those results and some sort of survey can be done. i don't know exactly how these investigations take because each of them is different basedded on ul a of the variables that occur. i don't have a timeline, but once we do, we definitely should move very quickly towards evaluating do we need to make

police in prince george's county have made an arrest after an elderly man was found dead. the victim was discovered by police this morning during a welfare ceck at his home on the 9,000 block of million street in fort washington. the suspect was later arrested on palmer rode just a few blocks away from where the victim was found. when officers arrived, along with the fire department they ended up you forcing entry into the residence here due to some circumstances that they observed at the residence. once inside they did find a man inside, an adult male unresponsive and he was pronounced dised here at the residence. there is no word on a possible motive at this time. an autopsy is being done to determine a cause of death. new tonight, seven people busted in a two-day human traffic

to you. saturday, 78-degreeses, an isolated shower, not a lot. breezy conditions and then saturday about 80-degrees. pools are going to be opening around the region. i believe a few afternoon thunderstorms that we'll have to track, one or two would be strong, but this big system will be out of the picture. that is going to continue moving up to the northeast. the breeze will come from that on the back side of it tomorrow and we'll continue to watch the olney brookville area heres in montgomery county. waters will be rising slowly right in the green area of montgomery county. that will go until three:30 in the evening. if you missed it we'll have another report coming up at 11 that they had flash flooding earlier there. here's what's left. a couple of showers coming down through frederick county and to the boonsboro area closing in on frederick. over the last hour they tend to be moving south, southeast. this one has a

last thing you want to see because i got hard in the frederick area. this is a protection of how much rain fell in the last 24 hours. it's an estimate by radar and you can see he that everybody got a good soaking out of that system, but as i take you into montgomery county right around the brookville area they picked up 2.3 inches and as teisha said that is a very hilly area and water can really run off quite quickly and fill up the ravines and one of her eyewitnesses says quite a gully washer out there. look at the temperatures, too. we're were in the 70s, in the 50s tomple. a bit l of a chilly start tomorrow. our storm will be leaving town. warming things up and a nice start to your memorial day weekend. i wanted to start on saturday morning. tomorrow is mainly dry. saturday morning starts with some clouds. i can't rule out a couple of showers here and there in the morning hours, not a lot 4:00 we're still seeing a chance for a few showers, stronger storms on saturday may pass down
