irs officials that they will be adding more workers here to the tampa location of the irs and here is why. look at these lines. hundreds of people waiting 4 to 6 hours to be scene at the irs office. many of the people coming here are in line because someone filed taxes in their names to get their returns. to file themselves they have to verify their identities in person. the irs said nationwide more than 700,000 people have this happening to them. the agency blames the waits on a reduced budget and slashed workers. and bill nelson quoted fox 13 stories about the lines and the irs commissioner urging action on the long wait lines. but the irs said their hands were tied just until they told us they would add more people. take a listen. >> in the meantime, we ask taxpayers to be patient with us.
