advantage and it may yet again. but donald trump started to drift off message again. and that can certainly work against him particularly in the run up to the first debate that's our third big point. trump has a habit of saying things that are open to interpretation and can get him in trouble like suggesting taking guns from clinton's security team. she doesn't want guns. let's see what happens to her. >> that's a good example because analogy is hard to follow. from law enforcement or secret service and what does trump mean but let's see what happens to her. clinton supporters claim trump encouraging violence and so the trump campaign had to go to work to clarify and clean it up. >> that's absolute nonsense many if she didn't have all the security she would change her attitude. >> and once again that changes the news sickle -- cycle. we had explosions but much of

focused on the gun remarks and the birther issue. that's because trump brought the birther movement back in to campaign by claiming that the birther move meant was wrong after promoting it for years and fact checkers called trump out for claiming the clinton started it. so the sunday talk shows focused on the birther movement while trump squirmed and tried to bounce back on the issue of terrorism by calling the bombing a bombing before the journalists had all the facts. i was correctly. what i said was exactly correct. i should be a newscaster because i called it before the news. >> also reverted to name calling again. he called new york times maureen dowd on dope. robert gates a clown. >> when trump has done this before it's driven a feedback loop of dis extractions and criticism that takes him off his game and cost him in the polls. while trump won last week don't be surprised if clinton gains

work in to the conversation without cracking a smile or laughing. let's talk about the importance of ads. the clinton camp saturated florida air waves. >> hasn't moved the needle. tell us why? >> i think that she still needs to find a way to get voters to trust her and to like her. >> soup sandwich. what do you look for in an ad? >> i look for it to politically based. more with the issues at hand. but right now you have got just a lot of hate being thrown each way. too much of that. kind of like a soup sandwich which doesn't make any sense should keep them separate. >> but the ads don't make sense. the ads right hand making sense. one big soup sandwich. you have to decide do i want it to be soggy or to be firm and that's where you are trying to
11:42 pm
choice. it will be soggy. the soup itself is dry and then it's not soup. >> instant soup before you put the water in. >> let's go all the way back in time your favorite ad? morning in america. >> it was extremely effective. cher costume changes. >> we have seen that commercial more often that cher costume changes. it comes back year after year. a lot of costumes changes. but it keeps coming back. >> santa's sweat. >> it takes a lot of work. there is not that many days until christmas. until we get to election it takes a lot of santa sweat goes in to this sort of thing. make the ads and make sure you deliver on christmas morning. >> christmas morning being election day.% in this case yes it is.
11:43 pm
>> santa sweat. i didn't know santa had anything to do with the presidential election but you learn -- >> that's what you you have to do. you learn something new everyday. >> as good as hillary as ads have been with going after donald trump, she still needs to many col up with affective campaign to promote herself. >> thank you so much for joining us. a lot of fun. >> coming up the auburn nation wants a war eagle license plate in florida. a state lawmaker answered the call. >> promise you it's no joke. >> and since rattling cage we

pledges. grant will sponsor the legislation to make this happen next year. of course fans of our universities and auburn rival alabama may not like it. >> no please no. no! no! no! >> grant and kate are already having some fun at florida and alabama expense. >> we registered i want my florida auburn plate.com which is long enough for alabama fans to not be able to troll it. >> if they can't spell it they can't poison. >> have fun and push his buttons in tonight's spotlight. >> kevin thank you for joining us. i have to say bringing thee auburn plates to florida does make some sense given the popularity of the program. you are the national champs beat clemson in a thriller. so many great players. haoul joe all the way back to namath. >> i just wish we filmed this before the clemson game. maybe i would have been thrown in as quarterback we were have

room. start off from marissa. >> this whole auburn tag thing doesn't work out here in florida how about we get a good old gators tag. how about that actually from the state of florida? >> i appreciate her. she looks like a gator fan. she may already know there is a gator plate available. >> oh, there is. >> just still not be able to reconcile her world because tebow was never able to beat my tigers when he was supposedly a he is baseball player now. but there is a gator tag in florida. >> so a gator tag. it's already here. if people do get the auburn plate and people start laughing, can they upgrade to the florida gator plate? >> well, you would have to be able to have something to laugh about and i suppose and the gators don't have much to laugh about other than their football team. >> let go to question now from kevin.
11:49 pm
florida that they trade off and take an usf tag and go to alabama. why not? >> that's a smart idea and usf had a good football team for one or two years many they since don't. how far, alabama that's a great idea. i know there are uf and fsu tag available. you can go to texas and get a tag. that's a good compromise. thank you for that. to allow florida tags in the state of alabama right to work if it's a question or a comment. >> i can give you five reasons why auburn supporters might want a florida specialty plate. number five they think specialty plate something you order at waffle house. number four they want to remind fans who the knolls beat. >> remind florida muschamp earned his master's degree. number two, they heard that

need license plates. number one, being on a car in tampa is as close to making it to this year's national championship game as auburn will come. >> i think maybe he has an has . yes they have done some good things on the football field and we are human enough to admit alabama has been good but i come from a time when tommy put up six fingers and we beat at one point have their football program back and certainly signing a deal with the devil helped them do that. >> thank you. now tongue and cheek let's take it serious. more than 4,000 people have pledged what does it take and what are the chances. >> representative grant who could possibly be a future speaker of the house here in florida went to auburn part of my class. he is going to file legislation in 2017 so we can have

to get that auburn license plate in florida we have seen florida plates all over the country. it time to bring in auburn plate to the state of florida. we have more than 4,000 people already committed to signing up which would make it one of the most popular tags we have in the state of pla becuse everybody loves auburn. >> we are a family. we believe it and we can make it happen. thank you for doing this for us. >> thanks, kevin. >> coming upholster shows u clinton first debate.
11:53 pm
>> okay let's bring in our pollster. we are now one week away from the first head to head debate between trump and clinton to what extent can that moment in time move the needle? >> i think all three will move the needle. you will have sort of like rocky one, two, three. >> and each one of those are going to be heavily watched and i don't expect any one candidate to win all three. they will move the polls one way or another. even if it just leaves everyone more confused. >> some of the things i'm looking for is will wikileaks drop another hit of e-mails on clinton. that can certainly upset for her. on the other side with donald trump run in to some new controversy we don't know why that might possibly be rolled
11:54 pm
off his cadence. a lot of external factors that will have affect on how the debate turns out. >> give us prediction which donald trump we will see, the feisty we have seen in prior republican debates or the more disciplined we have seen recently? >> well i think the trump campaign expects hillary clinton to needle trump as hard as she can and i think probably going to tell trump not to go for the bait. whether he can do it or not is another thing. he will try to be calm and cool but whether he can take the really needling who is very effective. she is effective debater. it will be a question. i don't know. we will know by the end of it. >> what should she do? needle him? >> well needle him she has to do it in a way she doesn't come across as being too manipulative. that's the problem she is
11:55 pm
the campaign they were manipulating folks over the pneumonia issue and of course the whole issue of passed e-mails. she will have, she can be -- both of these individuals met both of them they can both be very charming people. both of them are. if they would let that side of their personality show one or the other would wip. i don't know if they will be able to do that. >> how much in each one of those rounds one week from today can the needle move one way or the other? >> a lot. if someone has a real knock out blow in the first debate, it may be hard for the other campaign to ever recover. there are instances campaigns have recovered. remember ronald reagan had a horrible debate against mon dale. you can turn things around. but three debates that's a lot to have we really pushing it
11:56 pm
other three times. but i think each one you will see the needle move. that last debate will probably be the big one the one that deciding everything. >> thank you so much for your perspective. >> thank you. >> coming up a government mix up you may not believe. instead of getting deported hundreds of illegals get citizenship and i wore a badge for 38 years knowing how much you trusted us to keep you safe. yet when a officer was killed in action florida was not doing enough to give their families the help they desperately needed. dana young understood. that was wrong, so we changed that law. to ensure these families get the
