presentation is incredible today. there has been an intensification the eye has cleared up. can you see the eye how the storm has as expected done the turn to the north. that's happening right now. that obviously is jamaica and the storm will pass well east of jamaica. a big problem in haiti with the eye getting close to the western tip of that producing rain and flooding. st is the infa red movie this is not radar. this is the temperatures of the cloud tops and the red and purple are very cold tops, they are high. they are big storms and rotating around the center of hurricane matthew which obviously is a very dangerous hurricane.

it has done a loop from going west southwest i was on it on friday night due north at 7 miles an hour. here is the track. i think one thing of note. on the track that was issued a few minutes ago is that the bend to the west northwest or the northwest, why is that, why is that turning this way? the reason is simple. there is a big blocking high over bermuda be stronger than we earlier anticipated and the high you know kind of acts like a block and the hurricane goes around the high. the high is stronger and nudges the hurricane to the west. that's what the models are picking up. and half of florida is in the cone. one thing of note this is thursday in the bahamas, this a

side is the much, much preferred side than the east side. even if this was to verify the worst we would get here is a windy couple of days, 35 miles per hour winds and be manageable the problem is that if it comes up the spine of the state or get close to the immediate east coast. that's a thing to watch the shift, as of now i'm not expecting huge impacts thursday and friday. after that, it could get dicey for the carolinas with a hurricane approaching. myrtle beach or places hake nags head, north carolina, the models off the coast, rain fall accumulations as we said could be 40 plus in inches in haiti and all of this. that will be moving across the bahamas thursday, friday into saturday.

today not only on his charity dealings but his taxes. those are major issues in the campaign, we expect joe biden to bite at him in the hard down to earth way. that's what we expect from the vice president. we saw the vice president in orlando a bit earlier today. he said that donald trump is uninformed and backing putin and cheered for the housing crisis n short he said he said in short he is beneath the office of the president. what leaders would wake up at 3:00 and tweet about hillary clinton. we expect him to talk about hillary clinton and what he says is clinton's package of benefits to the middle class and a raise of the minimum wage and debt-free education at public institutions. now the campaign right now in some ways is about florida,

the hillary clinton campaign has seen a bounce since the last debate that we saw between the secretary and donald trump. they are hoping to continue that momentum and part of of what thy are hoping to do is use the rally to boost the get out the vote effort, that will be critical in places like sarasota t is a small intimate rally. these are the core democratic party supporters in sarasota. the hope is that the people will go from voters and get them to the polls in november. >> can you go listen in see what he has to say. we'll check back later. the president will be talking health care when he comes to the bay area this wednesday. he will speak at the university of south florida about the affordable care act. wasting time about attacking donald trump on his taxes. he could have avoided paying

the trump camp is turning thisaround like romney saying bottom line as the business expert he is he wants to pay as little as he has to under the law, that's the shrewd person you want leading the nation? >> there is another way to look at this but i don't think that will hurt donald trump very much. but he is facing another line of attack. he lost $916 million in one year. if he is the genius he claims to be, how can that happen and that's a line of attack i think that could dog him that the clinton camp is using against him. how much that may cost him may depend on how well it is addressed in the debate. and next sunday night and beyond. >> trump and clinton's running mates face off tomorrow night. how much can the debate move the needle?
5:10 pm
when dan quayle was beat. it did not move the needle. don't expect the need toll move much based on what we have seen but this year can be a little different if there is a gap on one side or the other because both campaigns have framed this on judgment, both claiming the other lacks the judgment in order to lead so if pence question the charlestoned at the -- the candidate at the top of the ticket only then will it move. based on what we have seen it will not move much. the big one sday n>> interestin. thankthank you, craig. a man murdering a couple and biting the dead man's face is in jail. the 19-year-old had been in the hospital for two months under
