thousands are here. between sunday and tuesday, donald trump is going to be holding five rallies in florida. he's already held two-toed. this one in tampa will be his third. and his hope is turning the tide and encouraging supporters to gt out and vote as early voting begins. take a look. here's donald trump earlier tody in st. augustine meeting with a group of first responders. for the last several weeks we've heard him focus on three topics essentially. one that south carolina in that there is, quote, a conspiracy to get him elected. and a promise to accuse those wo accused him of sexual assault. >> it's unclear, but the nationl polls have showed clinton's lead growing. this comes as the early vote ges underway. trump says he's doing well. >> well, first of all, i think we're winning.

make sure that trump can't dispute the results come electin day. after the rally many of the people there boarded a bus to go vote. >> okay. have you voted yet? well, today was the first day that voters could head to the polls, as we just heard. in 50 counties across florida voters in citrus and sills -- hillsborough, they'll have 14 days to cast their ballots befoe election day. >> okay. turn out, i hear it's been very busy, kellie? >> yeah, it's been impressive. the polls aren't even closed for the day, and already here in hillsborough county, according o election supervisors more than 14,000 people have cast their ballots already. when you combine that with the mail-in ballots they've already counted, that makes up for about 14 percent of total registered voters in hillsborough county casting their ballots.

16 early voting locations have the shortest wait times. >> it doesn't matter if it's the one closest to where you live. it can be closest to where you work, but if you're going to wat until election day you must vote in the precinct you reside in. the reason is real simple. during early vote we produce yor ballot on demand. on election day your ballot is waiting for you at the precinct. >> that's important for voters like charles. >> i drive a truck for want to make sure my vote count. >> early polling locations in hillsboro will remain open from 7:00 to 7:00 every day through november 6th. >> and over in pinellas county,a pretty health turn out. last check, about 4,000 people taking advantage of this first day of early polls opening up already, and more than 115,000 mail in ballots have been received so far.

(linda/ in a landmark >> in a landmark decision our state supreme court ruled a deah sentence should be handed down y a unanimous jury, which was not always the case in florida. but that wasn't the end of it. justices made another ruling in regards to fox 13's gloria gomez is here to explain the latest. >> he is mentally disabled and therefore should not be on death row. well, the supreme court says thy agree with that and they say his case should get a second look. >> again, we have another issue with our death penalty. >> it's another set back for florida's death penalty. in a new ruling the state supree court just gave a death row inmate a second chance at life. >> he gets a second chance to

intellectually disabled. >> he challenged his death sentence because he says he's intellectually disabled. the attorney anthony rickman who reviewed the opinion for fox 13 says the amendment protects the disabled from being executed. >> wl >> he could. this sentence does not absolve him from death. what it does is give him an opportunity to mitigate that. >> florida's death penalty has been under assault since januar. that's when the supreme court determined it was unconstitutional, ruling a jury, not a judge should make the ultimate say on life or death. and a month later the high court piled it on again when they reject florida's rigid iq testig

march 22nd. wow. a couple 61s and we think tomorrow morning or wednesday morning should be in the mid 60s. tough to believe. it's been 11 years -- 11 years ago today -- that hurricane wila made landfall in southwest florida down by cape romano as a cat 3, moved across the state ad kind of surprised the southeast coast, miami and fort lauderdale with lots of another major hurricane make landfall anywhere in the united states. that's 11 years going back to this date, 11 years ago. it's incredible, you talk about sandy. sandy was a border line cat one system when it made landfall in the northeast, so we've been a long, long stretch of not seeing major landfalls impacting our country. landfall hurricanes.

is developing normally. her daughter is due in february. she found out she was zika positive at 16 weeks. since then she's been treated by a team of doctors at miami's% jackson memorial hospital and jessica is a spanish only speaker. she said she was initially devastated by the diagnosis but has prayed constantly throughout her pregnancy. she believes the faith and diligent care at jackson memoril is keeping her baby safe and healthy and she hopes will make mothers think twice about abortion when receiving news about testing positive for it's unclear when or exactly whn jessica contracted zika. she took a trip to holiday honduras in the early pregnancy. the doctor who is overseeing jessica's care says right now te baby doesn't appear to have microcephaly, but that doesn't mean they're out of the woods yet. >> we can't really finish the
