corey: i have a lot of fun, and panthers fans are having a lot of fun too. they said hardly anything would have stopped them coming to today's rally. a mother even brought out her 19-month-old triplets out for big event. we're told their father picked out their jers thousands of fans filled this park only a couple blocks from the stadium here. they danced, sang, and cheered for the team. this was most definitely a family event. people of all ages showed up for panther's pride. we also spoke with a woman who traveled from greenville to be here today. >> we've been fans since 1995. we're originally from charlotte but moved to greenville, so this is just we couldn't miss being here today. corey: how do you feel about the super bowl >> i am excited. i fell in love with football the first time the panthers set foot on the field. i'm excited. we are going to win.

it is pretty nice outside. downtime grenville 63 degrees. what a difference from the mountains during the upstate. 63 in greenville, 44 in asheville. i have some good news for the folks in the mountains into the weekend. i will talk more about that a little later on. inigel: i love good news. happening now in columbia, richland county investigators are looking into the death of a usc student. the coroner says 19-year-old rachel bandmananf glen allen, virginia was found unresponsive yesterday. authorities found her in an off campus apartment called "the hub" at columbia. authorities say they are investigating her death as suspicious. the coroner says the cause of death won't be known until toxicology reports are complete. gabrielle: in pickens cocoty, deputies say an easley man is charged with stabbing another man in the throat. 51-year-old charles black faces attempted murder charges. deputies say he got into an argument with another man last night at the hot spot convenience store on calhoun memorial highway. they say he then stabbed the

the victim underwent surgery and is expected to be ok, according to deputie black is being held at the detention center without bond. nigel: in greenville county, the coroner has identified a man in a crash. the crash involved a pickup and a tankererruck. bryant was the passenger of the pickup truck that was hit. it happened on highway 25 near highway 253. that is whitehorse road and blue ridge drive. the driver of the pickup had to be taken to the hospital. john: --gabrielle: now to anderson county. highway patrol is investigating a deadly wreck near assembly drive in piedmont. the coroner says william armstrong junior's suv broke down on highway 81. he says armstrong's friend let him use a wrecker to haul the suv. but armstrong crashed on the way home and hit a tree off of interstate 85, near assembly drive, and died. nigel: take a look at this picture. henderson county deputies say two masked men forced their way

causing a nearby school to be locked down. deputies are trying to identify the man in this picture. if you recognize him, call the henderson county sheriff's office or crimestoppers. gabrielle: spartanburg county investigators are looking for a woman accused of spending thousands of dollars with a cloned credit card. deputies want your help identifying this woman. they say she stole the credit card information from an upstate law firm. the law firm says she spent more than $9,000 on a company card that had not been authorized. authorities think the same woman may be involved in a similar case in asheville. nigel: george coleman junior died yesterday at his home in travelers rest. his family owned george coleman ford just off highway 25 in travelers rest. coleman's father started the business in 1930. coleman junior served the company in a number of ways as owner, dealer principal, and chairman. a funeral service will be held noon saturday at greenville associate reformed presbyterian church. gabrielle: to show their patriotism, an upstate

wanted a new american flag for their school. so they write a letter to th congressman. wyff news 4's patrick hussion shows us what happened next. patrick: south carolina congressman trey gowdy has been very busy on the campaign trail with senator marco rubio as he endorses him for president. but today, a new focus, as he delivers a brand new flag to the kids here at paris elementary school. rep. gowdy: i am going to present this flag on behalf of of all members of the south carolina delegation. patrick: congressman howdy was back in his district by the request of a few dozen kindergartners here at paris elementary. their teacher, jennifer snow, taught her class about the american flag back in september. she says her students wanted to show their patriotism and they wanted a new flag for the school. so along with their teacher, they decided to write congressman gowdy a letter to ask for a new one. and he delivered -- literally --

rep. gowdy: : is flag flew on top of the capital on november the 11th, 20156. patrick: today, many of the kids were decked out in red, white and blue, and got to ask questions as well. like what's your favorite food, and do you love red? rep. gowdy: do i love red? i love garnet. patrick: congressman gowdy has spent some time on the national stage as of late, putting his support behind florida senator marco rubio. we asked him about rubio's debate performance last night, in the absense of front-runner donald trump. rep. gowdy: i thought he would've added something last night. i would've wanted to hear from him. he's been really, r rlly successful without taking any advice from so i'm going to be reluctant to give any advice to mr. trump. i thought marco did really really well. he's a brilliant debater. he speaks in hopeful aspirations, which appeals to me. patrick: a few pictures and handshakes, then gowdy was on his way. a short time later, teachers and

outside to bring down the old, faded flag and to raise the new flag where it will fly high over , the school, just as it flew high over washington d.c. in taylors, patrick hussion, wyff news 4. nigel: soon people across the world will be able to see clemson's campus without ever stepping foot in tigertown. more on a special project at clemson. it mandy: memorial stadium is well known by fans and alumns, but people who don't live close to south caroly r see it. until now. death valley and several other places on campus are now part of a virtual reality project with google. it's called google expeditions. a special camera was sent to the creative services department at clemson university. with it, a team took 12 panoramic 360 degree pictures of campus and sent those back to

each shot. it'll be part of an app that'll be downloaded and used in classrooms. it'll also eventually be available for download from the google play store. jesse godfrey was one of three who took the pictures for clemson. >> it's designed to work with google cardboard, which is a device that you can put an android device into, and create sort of a virtual reality headset. and within that, they'll be able to be immersed in these panoramic shots of campus, and also be able to read a little bit of information about them. mandy: godfrey says the team tried to show as much of campus as possible from each vantage point, including tillman hall, bowman field, sikes hall, and memorial stadium. the project is still in the testing phase. there's no timeline yet on when it'll be available to the public. mandy gaither, wyff news 4 4n clemson. gabrielle: an nfl star returned

nigel: republican presidential front-runner donald trump taking a victory lap in new hampshire after sticking out -- skipping o ut on last night''s gop debate. gabrielle: his rivals in iowa are making the last-minute pitch to caucuses. sally kidd has more. sally: the campaigns are in overdrive, hitting multiple cities with back-to-back events, trying to persuade caucus-goers to show up for monday. while the rest of the field focuses on iowa--. trump: i don't have to campaign anymore. why am i wasting my time? sally: donald trump kludge new hampshire for a day of campaigning, including attacking his closest rival, using an offensive term using a beast born june on -- babies born to non-citizen parents. cruz made the rounds in rural iowa to accuse trump of

sen. cruz: it's easy to come to iowa and sodo as trump did -- next week he might have a different position. sally: marco rubio and others appealed for support across the hawkeye state. polls show some iowa republicans remain undecided or say they could change their mind. >> for those that haven't decided, tick tock, tick tock. >> for those of you still you. sen. sanders: it is our campaign large voter turnout. sally: and the turnout will be key. analysts say the iowa caucus has traditionally been a good predictor how well democrats will do, but a poor predictor of how things will shake out for the republican candidate.

carol: in tonight's 4 your health, a doctor tells us there is in south carolina at least one suspected case of a child born with a birth defect caused by the zika virus. if you're pregnant, or if you plan to be soon, you need to learn all you can about this. it's a disease believed responsible for over 4,000 cases of microcephaly in brazil in less than a year. microcephaly is when a baby is born with a small brain and small head.

this in south carolina after a pregnant woman traveled in an affected area in south america. doctors believe it's spread by mosquitoes who bite an infected human and then bite another person. one of the two species of mosquitoes involved is common in the southeastern united states. >> i honestly believe that this is something that is coming here. we can probably keep it to a fairly low-grade infection in terms of the number of individuals. but i don't think it's going to bypass us. it's just moving much too fast for that and the preventive measures are so difficult to accomplish at this point. it's really mosquito control and protection against mosquito bites. carol: those measures include -- staying inside to avoid mosquito bites in spring and summer. get rid of any mosquito breeding grounds near your home. even a cup of water left outside can be a problem. use insect repellent when you go out. if you are pregnant, you might want to talk to your doctort that. keep arms and legs covered. try to avoid areas where
