corey: i have a lot of fun, and panthers fans are having a lot of fun too. they said hardly anything would have stopped them coming to today's rally. a mother even brought out her 19-month-old triplets out for big event. we're told their father picked out their jers thousands of fans filled this park only a couple blocks from the stadium here. they danced, sang, and cheered for the team. this was most definitely a family event. people of all ages showed up for panther's pride. we also spoke with a woman who traveled from greenville to be here today. >> we've been fans since 1995. we're originally from charlotte but moved to greenville, so this is just we couldn't miss being here today. corey: how do you feel about the super bowl >> i am excited. i fell in love with football the first time the panthers set foot on the field. i'm excited. we are going to win.

it is pretty nice outside. downtime grenville 63 degrees. what a difference from the mountains during the upstate. 63 in greenville, 44 in asheville. i have some good news for the folks in the mountains into the weekend. i will talk more about that a little later on. inigel: i love good news. happening now in columbia, richland county investigators are looking into the death of a usc student. the coroner says 19-year-old rachel bandmananf glen allen, virginia was found unresponsive yesterday. authorities found her in an off campus apartment called "the hub" at columbia. authorities say they are investigating her death as suspicious. the coroner says the cause of death won't be known until toxicology reports are complete. gabrielle: in pickens cocoty, deputies say an easley man is charged with stabbing another man in the throat. 51-year-old charles black faces attempted murder charges. deputies say he got into an argument with another man last night at the hot spot convenience store on calhoun memorial highway. they say he then stabbed the

the victim underwent surgery and is expected to be ok, according to deputie black is being held at the detention center without bond. nigel: in greenville county, the coroner has identified a man in a crash. the crash involved a pickup and a tankererruck. bryant was the passenger of the pickup truck that was hit. it happened on highway 25 near highway 253. that is whitehorse road and blue ridge drive. the driver of the pickup had to be taken to the hospital. john: --gabrielle: now to anderson county. highway patrol is investigating a deadly wreck near assembly drive in piedmont. the coroner says william armstrong junior's suv broke down on highway 81. he says armstrong's friend let him use a wrecker to haul the suv. but armstrong crashed on the way home and hit a tree off of interstate 85, near assembly drive, and died. nigel: take a look at this picture. henderson county deputies say two masked men forced their way

causing a nearby school to be locked down. deputies are trying to identify the man in this picture. if you recognize him, call the henderson county sheriff's office or crimestoppers. gabrielle: spartanburg county investigators are looking for a woman accused of spending thousands of dollars with a cloned credit card. deputies want your help identifying this woman. they say she stole the credit card information from an upstate law firm. the law firm says she spent more than $9,000 on a company card that had not been authorized. authorities think the same woman may be involved in a similar case in asheville. nigel: george coleman junior died yesterday at his home in travelers rest. his family owned george coleman ford just off highway 25 in travelers rest. coleman's father started the business in 1930. coleman junior served the company in a number of ways as owner, dealer principal, and chairman. a funeral service will be held noon saturday at greenville associate reformed presbyterian church. gabrielle: to show their patriotism, an upstate

wanted a new american flag for their school. so they write a letter to th congressman. wyff news 4's patrick hussion shows us what happened next. patrick: south carolina congressman trey gowdy has been very busy on the campaign trail with senator marco rubio as he endorses him for president. but today, a new focus, as he delivers a brand new flag to the kids here at paris elementary school. rep. gowdy: i am going to present this flag on behalf of of all members of the south carolina delegation. patrick: congressman howdy was back in his district by the request of a few dozen kindergartners here at paris elementary. their teacher, jennifer snow, taught her class about the american flag back in september. she says her students wanted to show their patriotism and they wanted a new flag for the school. so along with their teacher, they decided to write congressman gowdy a letter to ask for a new one. and he delivered -- literally --
