dale: it depends on where you are. we have snow activity going on in the mountains. it is 33 in greenville with the northeast breeze at 10 miles for our. it has been very isolated snowfall for the upstate and in northern greenville and pickens county. there is a dusting across the foothills in north carolina. we have no watches out the cause in some places -- no watches out because in some places they will be less than 1/2 of one inch. it will be blustery throughout the day tonight and throughout the day tomorrow. another cold blast is coming to flurries. we will see more action by the end of the weekend, sunday night into monday. 20's in asheville and the lower

aly: this is where it is going to be. bob jones university. four candidates are expected today. jeb bush, dr. ben carson, senator ted cruz, and marco rubio will attend. the candidates are staggered from noon until tentative start 5:30. times are carson at 12:30. bush at 1:15. rubio at 2:20. and cruz at 4:45. the candidates are joining south carolina attorney general alan wilson as well as palmetto family president doctor oran smith. wilson is moderating the event. the event is free, but tickets can be reserved all mine. geoff: thank you. continuing our 2016 coverage. before the forum, former florida governor jeb bush is expected to host a meet and greet today in anderson. this is video of his appearance in florence yesterday. bush's event was scheduled to be a mama penn's.

anderson civic center. the event still has the same time, 11:15 this morning. marco rubio also has an appearance today scheduled outside of the bju forum. the gop debate is saturday, but marco rubio has scheduled a predebate rally at the greenville downtown airport. the doors open at 4:15 this afternoon. the event begins at 5:00 at hangar 5. allyson: that debate geoff mentioned is saturday night at the peace center. thousands of people were hoping to get selected for a ticket through the lottery system, but gop leaders say the peace center isn't big enough. the republican national committee has distributed tickets across the state for gop supporters. the greenville county party chairman was given a couple dozen tickets for the party faithfuls. >> if we had not had it at the peace center, we probably would have had more people come, but the peace center is the venue that cbs chose. allyson: we learned some take

cancel, but there is no guarantee. turning to last night's debate. the two democratic presidential hopefuls squared off in wisconsin. geoff: bernie sanders and hillary clinton faced off on a wide range of topics including size of government, race relations and health care. immigration was a hot button topic. >> we have got to move toward a path toward citizenship. i agree with president obama, who used executive orders to protect families. hillary clinton: we should be deporting criminals, not hard-working immigrant families. geoff: the impact of female voters on election day is also another topic got up. hillary clinton: i am not asking people to support me because i am a woman. i am asking people to support me because i think i them qualified with experience.

expected this afternoon and tonight into tomorrow. this could make for some bitter cold conditions. watch out for the snow falling and north carolina. we have one or two spots in south carolina in pickens county and greenville county. but this is basically going to be a north carolina event. some of the higher mountaintops could see 1-3 inches, making for slippery driving. in the upstate, there will just be an isolated flurry or two this morning. 33 in greenville and 32 in spartanburg. what he nine in asheville and -- 29 in asheville and 25 in boone. brevard, 31. temperatures are cold enough for some of that snowd to stick. -- for some of that snow to stick. tomorrow we could see 15-30

announcer: now, your live super doppler 4 hd weather forecast. dale: good morning, it is 4:48. yesterday morning we were looking at 30 degree temperatures. it is not as cold in the upstate and mountains as yesterday. overnight we have seen some flurries developed. north carolina. they were even a few flurries in northern greenville county and in pickens county. most of the action will be along the tennessee and north carolina border. 1-3 inches of snow are possible between now and tomorrow night. very strong winds will start this evening and continue through tomorrow in the mountains. it will be dangerously cold tonight into tomorrow with wind chills. watch out for slippery driving conditions as that snow continues.

are the same as the upstate. currently 31 degrees in greenwood. laurens is right at that 30-31 range. it will be a chilly day today, but by the afternoon it will reach into the 40's. whatever precipitation falling this morning will come to an end for the upstate and in the mountains, it will change over to rain late morning into the afternoon. it feels colder with the breeze. it feels like the mid to upper 20's. normally this time of the year we will see 56. we got up to 50 degrees yesterday. 43 degrees is the best we will see in the upstate today. the mountains normally hit 50 degrees, but today we will see 41 degrees for the high. stay and thursday we will get back to normal, and possibly even avo -- possibly even above.

here is what is going on. they cold and blustery day for a good bit of the country. we will see 40's for the afternoon highs. that is a little better than what we saw yesterday. afternoon highs got up to 50 degrees yesterday, but we will see 47 today. asheville will see temperatures reach 41. on saturday and sunday it cools down. we only get up to 38 in the upstate tomorrow. we have mid 20's in the mountains tomorrow. they will reach 30 degrees on sunday. we have a 70% chance of a wintry mix on monday. we will be here first thing to let you know if there are any delays or slippery driving conditions. allyson: thank you, dale. a special groundbreaking on a memorial for the spartanburg county sheriff's office. geoff: the area in front of the sheriff's office on howard street in spartanburg will be turned into a memorial in honor of law enforcement from all of spartanburg county. sheriff chuck wright says this

to officers giving their all to serve their community. >> people see law enforcement and they think they just run to danger all the time. you know, i have to see with their family members here at the sheriff's office, the look on their face after they work a child's deaths, or a rape, or something of that nature, or just an accident. these men and women carry that home with them. geoff: the memorial was paid for through donations from the community. several construction companies and the organization carpenters for christ all donated time and supplies. the memorial will open to the public with an unveiling ceremony scheduled for mid-may. allyson: bosch rexroth will expanding its facility in southern greenville county. the company is spending $5 million to expand its facility over the next few years. the fountain inn facility manufactures hydraulic pumps and motors. the company says the expansion

geoff: 4:51 as they cover the nation for you on this friday morning. the last four occupiers of a national wildlife refuge in oregon have surrendered. the holdouts were the last of a group that seized the malheur national refuge on january 2. fbi agents say david fry was the last protester to surrender. the occupiers were demanding the government turn over the land to locals and to release two ranchers imprisoned for arson. the group had been surrounded by armored vehicles on wednesday and escorted by fbi agents off the property. allyson: a new york city police years in prison. 28-year-old officer peter liang was found guilty of manslaughter and official misconduct yesterday. he was convicted in the shooting death of akai gurley who was a public housing project in liang had testified that he didn't know anyone was in the pitch-black stairway when he unintentionally fired his drawn weapon after being startled by a

geoff: one person is dead and several are injured after a stabbing attack in a restaurant in central ohio. police say the unnamed suspect walked into the columbus restaurant and attacked several people. four people were taken to the hospital with injuries, including one who was in life-threatening condition. that person is now in stable condition. officials say the suspect was armed with a machete before being shot and killed by police at a nearby location. the motive for the attack is unknown at this time. allyson: new helmet cam footage shows california fire fighters rescuing a dog from a home engulfed in flames. fire fighters searched the sacramento home for victims. what they found was a scared dog hiding. the dog was pulled from its hiding spot in a back bedroom and carried to safety. the occupants of the home all got out safely, and the dog was reunited with her owner on the sidewalk outside. fire officials say a working smoke detector played a big role in getting everyone to safety. geoff: it is time to hang ten in
