john? an update on that deadly tanker crash on i95 in baltimore. sam sweeney standing by with the very latest. authorities now say the driver had the required certification to 31-year-old clinton worrel also had a valid medical certification. he had been driving for that company for 2.5 years and was considered an outstanding employee. his truck slid on ice, slammed into a jersey wall and exploded. the trucked ended up falling off the bridge and landing on train tracks below. that tanker crash happened around the same time as a 68 car pile up that injured dozens more and st down the highway for hours. all of this happened during icy conditions. the tanker crash is being investigated as a separate incident from the pile up but the two are likely related. breaking overnight. a woman struck by a metro train on the orange line in landover. officials say the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries. crews had to remove her from underneath the train. witnesses told prince george's county fire crews that the woman intentionally moved in front of the train. right

john mccains cancer diagnosis. developing now - troubling images from a baltimore police officer's body camera. the video - appearing to show an officer planting evidence, while others watched! sam sweeney is here with more - sam? know that evidence did lead to an arrest. but this morning, the video is raising doubts about that arrest and dozens of other cases he's been involved with. take a look - the video shows the officer walking down an alley, sifting through some trash and finding a bag of drugs inside a soup can. but body cameras automatically record 30 seconds of footage before it's activated.. and in those 30 seconds you can see the officer in that alley - appearing to plant the drugs! baltimore's police commissoner suggested the officers may have been reinacting the recovery of the drugs for the body camera... he didnt defend the action--say that action is also wrong. the officer is now suspended and two others are on limited duty as authorities investigate the video. prosecutors have also dropped the charges in this case and are now reviewing as many as 53 other active cases involving the officer. a big day for o.j. simpson today. and the country will be watching. his parole

john gonzalez, abc 7 news. adrianna: in fairfax county one person is in custody while the search continues for another suspect after bullets went flying through a neighborhood hitting a home and a vehicle. sam sweeney is in centreville with the details. sam: this was an all-out gun battle. the shots rang out around 9:30 last night. some of the shots were fired over here by this gold buick and the bullets actually landed in this home here by the second floor window. on the other side of that window, a young child was sleeping, so scared she went and told her mom. those were the first 911 calls. when police moved in they actually found the suspects, gave chase but didn't catch up with them until eight minutes later on hazel ferguson drive just off of louie highway. in the meantime, over here the investigation continued into what exactly happened. let's listen to described the situation. >> i just was really scared. i was like oh, my god, i ran back in and immediately knew it battle, ype of gun some gunshots between some people and the guy looked really mean. he looked like he was really just angry and told some other guy, angel, let's go and i ran back in and called the cops immediately because i kne

sweeney. autria: breaking right now, house in prince george's county is up in flames. larry: at least one person pulled from the burning home. condition this morning? john: that's right, a 74-year-old woman, a homeowner who has lived here a long time. she and her daughter are actually in the hospital. still an active scene. significant damage to the home. the fire started just after 4:30 this morning. the adult daughter was able to get out of the house, she ran out without herself -- with her cell phone -- without her cell so she was out here in the street yelling to neighbors for help. firefighters had to go into rescue her elderly mother. wheelchair-bound, she was not able to get out of the home. that elderly woman is now in critical condition. the fire chief telling us that significant burns and smoke inhalation. this woman being stretchered , firefighters finally convinced her to get checked out. but it doesn't seem she has many injuries at all. it's the elderly woman that the focus is on right now. a delicate situation with her at the hospital. the cause of the fire is still unknown. we can tell you that the family dog went missing and it has been
