what are the official naco policies now? >> naco calls on congress to put aside political differences and urgently come to an agreement on immigration legislation that provides clarity at the local level and helps counties work with federal partners on immigration issues while serving the needs of all residents. that is our comprehensive approach. from a workforce perspective, we believe that federal laws should not only maintain legal immigration levels, they should support and provide legal avenues for immigrants who wish to come to the united states and allow these individuals to contribute their skills and their expertise to our economies and maintain a sufficient workforce. it is negatively affecting our local economies when we can't provide workforce to the agricultural industry, and i was speaking with a commissioner from another part of the country who actually had to shut down his business in agriculture because he couldn't find workforce. that is not only in agriculture. it's across the board in construction where

and this is the annual training conference that naco has. and it is three and a half days of courses including investigation techniques, civilian oversight role in police training, mediation, and body cameras, and language access, and lgbtq persons and police interactions. and constitutional issues and recent development in the law. this conference is attended by civilian oversight staff, board and commission members, attorneys, community members and law enforcement. it is the only conference of its type, and this year, is conference was record breaking in attendance and they were over 300 at the conference and we had internationals, and we had them travel from mexico and jamaica the united kingdom and the past conferences and the attends from africa and from ireland and this year, two, two occ, staff members in that training sessions, including investigator jason who led a session on the investigations along with the chief of investigations from the washington dc civilian oversight office. and then, there are policy analyst attorney, along
