vernon odom live in mayfair to explain both sides of this story.reporter: tonight the police department's homicide unit and its internal affairs division are both investigating this morning's fatal police shooting of a motorist who was pulled over in the 6700 block of frankford avenue in mayfair. this is 26-year-old brandon tate brown who family members say was shot and can killed by police this morning during a traffic stop in mayfair. police say he was pulled over while in this rental car with florida tags around 2:45 because he was driving without headlights on. police say they observed a handgun near him then ordered brown out of the car. police say on the sidewalk a scuffle ensued and brown was shot once in the head because police say they believed he was head back to the car to grab that gun. >> apparently started way traffic stop and the officer was involved in some kind of struggle and wound up with a shooting of the suspect. there was a gun recovered from the vehicle that the suspect was in. >> we do have a gun that was actually found in t

"action news" reporter vernon odom will have the latest on the investigation including possible charges in this case coming up at 4:30. >> a south jersey driver is accused of hitting a pedestrian and leaving that person to die in burlington county. the vehicle struck the victim then fled the scene at 12:30 this morning on route 73 in maple shade. another passing motorist saw the victim lying in the street and called 911. we do know a suspect was into custody but police have not yet announced any charges. >> a man was violently beaten at a north philadelphia gas station and police are hoping surveillance video can help them i.d. the suspects. the attack happened november 1st at the speed way on the 500 block of west lehigh avenue. well, two men went after the 50-year-old victim in the parking lot. during the altercation one of the suspects pulled a baseball bat and knocked him to the ground. the victim is now in a medically induced coma at temple hospital. the suspects were driving a blue ford ford f-150 pickup. >> let's get a first check of our "action news" traffic report. >> 5 o'clock
