[ cheers ] cheers from a relieved community after convicted killer danelo cavalcante was taken into custody yesterday in chester county, pennsylvania. >> our nightmare is finally over, and the good guys won. >> the search for danelo cavalcante is over. >> reporter: the clean-shaven 34-year-old was captured about 20 miles from the prison that he escaped from two weeks ago, breaking out by scaling a wall. police say the final standoff was put into motion when a home burglary alarm was tripped just after midnight within the search area. about an hour later an aircraft using thermal technology picked up a heat signal, then just before 8:00 a.m. tactical units surrounded cavalcante. he tried to escape with a stolen rifle, but law enforcement released a k-9 to hold
