terry mcsweeney, "abc 7 news." >> it's 5:02 now. it could be a rough ride or no ride at all for people that use a.c. transit. bus service was disrupted for many riders when 200 drivers didn't show up for work. teresa garcia is live in fremont at the big a.c. transit hub. this is all about a labor dispute. >> right, they are not happy with the newly imposed contract. it will affect riders and this ranges as far as north richmond right down to fremont. the 200 drivers that didn't show yesterday, that makes up about 18% of the workers. even if the same thing happens today there clearly will be some bus service. what is going to happen today. the transit workers union plans to seek another ruling to get the contract stopped. the union achieved a ruling in it's favor on friday when a judge required an arbitrator to legally decide on contract issues. a.c. transit has chosen to put a cost cutting contract if it remains in place would reduce costs by nearly $16 million hand that would help the projected $16 million deficit. we caners are di

terry mcsweeney is life in san francisco. for once, california is doing better than the rest of the nation when it comes to this. >> the numbers are looking good in california and the bay area but just to underscore the point that the foreclosure problem is not gone, a real estate agent tells us the mansion here in pacific heights is facing foreclosure but that is being battled in court. much of the bay area is looking good but looks can be deceiving. >> there are far fewer signs like this one. numbers released say the number of foreclosures in the bay area is down 41%. foreclosures are down 51% in alameda county and 44% in contra costa county. some see it as a sign of economic recovery, michael of pacific international believe that banks are holding back a bundle of foreclosed properties so not to go into free fall. >> instead of dumping them all on the market and ruining the economy. but barely see the drift in the market. they have to come out and there is going to be -- >> some of those that received modifications going i

terry mcsweeney is live in oakland police headquarters. what did they find?search did not turn up a suspect but it turn up evidence that it may have been planned well ahead of time. eighth and market streets 11:30 last night police are making a stop on a vehicle some kind of marijuana bust. certainly that became inconsequence consequential when somebody opened fire. lots of squad cars. police did not enter the individual apartment units. they weren't sure where the sniper was. officers thought they got a break when they found a surveillance room in the apartment building. >> this an effort to sea if there was any video that captured the shooting that is where we went to first. apparently their video system room was vandalized. >> police it's are not saying they have a connection for sure, but if the sniper is the one that vandalized that surveillance room, there was thinking about this attack. it wasn't just somebody opening fire taking potshots in the direction of police officers. the good news is that nobody was hit but the bad news is the sniper is still o

. >> terry mcsweeney is live at the station with the details on this. >> reporter: first of all we should point out he has been assigned to desk duty and that is standard procedure when an officer is under investigation. let's take a look. this video happened on sunday, two officers stopped a woman, she had a baby in a stroller with her. she is also a suspect in an assault. she is arrested and handcuffed. she is belligerent. police say she is drunk. she is handcuffed led to the squad car. watch as she resists officers, finally one officer tosses her to the street where she lays still for a few seconds before starting to move again. the child in the stroller throughout the video can be heard crying. the officer -- the ambulance arrives after the officer called for one. the woman is taken to san francisco general. she also bites a paramedic. the issue is whether the handcuffed woman and in custody needed to be treated in that way. there might be more to this story we can see even though there were eyewitnesses from a camera above. there may be going on the ground. that is what the investiga
