springs and san andreas system provides for emergency and supplementary water supply for the san francisco peninsula by moving water from the various reservoirs and feeding into other locations which would then be traded through distribution systems. the system consists of three primary reservoirs, the upper and lower crystal springs reservoir, the san andreas reservoir. there is a major pump station -- thank you. pump station, pipe line, and various other facilities. this map out lines the system. san bruno is over here. the full extent of the math is about 10 miles. the shaded green area is the watershed we are managing. the project consists of three major components. one is the replacement of the existing pumping station. the second one is various improvements in seismic and various facilities. a third component is a substation from pg&e. this is the status of the environmental review. we have released the eir back in november, and we closed the bid. eir was considered by the planning commission and certified. sfpuc adopted it on may 11. budget and funding. the total project cost estimate is $192

spare the air day, poor air quality in santa clara but good air quality, peninsula, san francisco andmarin county with moderate air quality in northern marin and sonoma county. here is what is going on. we have the fog right at the coast. it will burn back but the sea breeze will keep temperatures in a few selected beaches in the upper 60s, more like 70s downtown with a few 80s the further away you get. it is shallow and not going to reach very far and still going to be warm to hot for most of the day. reason being, high pressure is in control but a trough of low pressure in the gulf of alaska that is beginning to nudge this high out of the way. for today, in response to that, we're looking at the sea breeze and then tomorrow the high reestablishes itself and still we're talking the warmest day of the week will be on monday but with the sea breeze, cooling locally along the coast and our beaches. south bay, not much of a change. we'll see 90 santa clara and san jose with 94 in los gatos. changes here on the peninsula with some lower to mid-80s in spots but still hot around palo alto.

spots. 77 in san jose and 78 in sunnyvale and temperatures in the 60s to low 70s from san francisco to down the peninsula. the cool front that moved through yesterday helped to dry our air back out and kind of stabilize us from the humidity and the scattered showers thatlingered over the weekend. now for tomorrow, don't get too used to the heat. we're looking at temperatures dropping five to ten degrees but then we'll be going back up again in our seven-day forecast with some potential major heat coming our way. all right. right now we have a few clouds passing over eureka, deciding this short lived pattern will be under for tuesday and wednesday. you can see it still remains active with cloud cover and weak disturbances. it really is all about the jet stream as we often say this time of the year. it's going to continue to swing more to the south giving us this troughier pattern and that allows the cool air to enter for tuesday and wednesday. dropping our temperatures back to you. mushing us below average and also bringing more fog, persistent fog back to the coastline. for tuesday that will mean 70s inl

san francisco. as you look into the peninsula, and i do not know how far out of country you went, but what kind of issues did you see outside of san francisco that or perhaps different than what you saw inside? >> outside of san francisco, it is more land use issues because most of those folks do not actually have access to the water, so they are more interested in land use issues, but what we found overall design communities where they are more organized, they were much further along in requesting and asking for certain kind of community benefits, and in those communities that were disorganized or had not come together as a community group, they want those community benefits, but they did not know how to begin the process. those were two very different requests that we found, and we went into asking the communities to tell us what they think community benefits is. without us dictating to them, because we really wanted to hear how they saw and how they framed what would be considered a community benefit. a lot of it outside of the region was land use. within san francisco, it is obviously about work forc
