. >> i'm eun yang for this wednesday, novber 10th, 2010. we begin with a developing story. right now there are nearly 4,500 people stranded on a carnival cruise ship in the middle of the pacific ocean. it has no airconditioning and no hot water and food is running out. the ship left long beach, california on monday and cruising toward mexico when it suddenly caught fire. the fire cut power to the vessel cutting the seven-day cruise short. now all passengers can do is sit and wait to be rescued but that could be a little while longer. >>reporter: the carnival cruise ship splendor drifting at sea since it lost power on monday. the coast guard says 4,500 people are on board. anngine room fire knocked out electrical power and the entire ship shut down some 200 miles south of san diego. planes loaded with supplies for the passengers and crew took off tuesday from the naval air station near san diego. plans called for u.s. navy helicopters to make the delivery to the stranded ship. >> there's cups,
