jack cafferty is here with the cafferty file. jack? a bountiful thanksgiving feast next week and gorge ourselves on turkey and pumpkin pie, think about this, 45 million americans were food insecure last year. that is a government word, food insecure, according to an agriculture department report. it means they had difficulty feeding one or more memberings of the family because they don't have enough money. they are hungry. that is 14.7% of all u.s. households, about 1 of every 7. the situation was especially bad for about one-third of the households which reported very low food security. that means very hungry. these numbers are higher than in 2008, and represent the highest level since the government kept track 15 years ago. where are we going here? the ereport found that households most likely to go hungry are those head headed by single parents and access was worst in big cities and african-americans and hispanics and out of the 50 states, food insecurity was high nest arkansas with nearly 18%, and lowest in north dakota with close
