ali. >> reporter: police say the man's name says the man is reginald jackson. they're trying to find him so they can ask questions in connection with the case. this is where the officer- involved shooting happened yesterday, in the area of cobb and corcoran avenues in vallejo. there's still police tape left over from the investigation yesterday along with police markings on the pavement here in front of us. it all started with a low-speed police pursuit. newschopper 2 was overhead when the pursuit ended at 4:30 yesterday. police say they were trying to pull over the driver of that black car, for what they described only as a vehicle code violation. police say the driver ignored their orders, to stop and get out of the car, and stopped and pointed a revolver at officers. at that point, police opened fire on the driver shooting and killing him. police have not released the identity of the man they shot but say he's a 45-year-old man. he was wounded by multiple gunshots and pronounced dead at the scene. residents nearby heard it all happen. >> we heard a lot of gu

a man with the water authority found the body floating around 8:30 this morning. authorities say it matches the description of the man suspected of kidnapping 4-year-old juliani cardenas. the body has been in the water for too long to identify the prints. investigators say based on the physical description and clothing found on the body, they believe it is that of jose rodriguez. the ex-boyfriend of juliani's mother is suspected of taking the boy from the home on january 18th. the 27-year-old's body was found about 11 miles from where a farm worker saw rodriguez's car go into the canal. the little boy's mother who is pregnant with rodriguez's child reacted to the news that a body was discovered this morning. here's what she had to say. >> i just want to say that i'm relieved that all this is over. but i want to tell jose's mom that i feel her pain. >> reporter: we did contact rodriguez's mother this afternoon. she had no comment at this time. an autopsy is tentatively scheduled for tuesday. investigators say most likely they will need dental records to confirm the
