the dark blue is where the bay is now. the light blue is where it will be with a one meter rise in sea level. that's oakland international airport. clearly they should be building sea planes. that's silicon valley. now, just for fun, we mapped the san francisco public utility commission's waste water treatment commission. as you can see, a lot of it is along the shore line. so we've used some gis projections and we have had to use a two meter sea level rise because of the base maps we used, but you see a lot of that area would be inundated. even if it's only half as much, there's still a lot of expensive puc infrastructure that's going to be under water. under the heading of sharing the pain, i want to point out that bcdc's objectives will also be hard hit by sea level rise. over the past 40 years, we have required a lot of public access along the shore line of the bay, about a hundred miles of it. and a lot more access has been provided in public parks and through the bay trail. much of this could well be lost. now, after

low 60s abeing lo the east bay shore and to the east bay valleys low to mid-60s here and without thatn-cooled air, we'll actually see a little sunshine around the monterey bay and be warmer just about everywhere else, low to mid-60s with mid-60s inland. around the state today snow develops up around tahoe and 46. chico and sacramento some light rain. low 60s there. but look at los angeles and palm springs, near 80 degrees today. bringing it home tonight, patchy fog and cloud cover. livermore low to mid-40s. here's a look what's going on upstairs. you can tell it's a pretty mature system that has this comma shape to it and knows the energy is lacking but the moisture is out there. the cold front pushing ever so slowly through the bay. by 4:00, 5:00 it's gone. the evening should be pretty quiet and overnight you can see it's all gon rainfall amount very, very light. around the bay we may have nothing to about a tenth, tenth to a quarter of an inch in the north bay. maybe double that in your mountains. 7-day forecast, increasing sunshine tomorrow and saturday but temperatures pretty much

peninsula and south bay may take a while. leading edge beginning to drift into the north bay with the atmosphere so juiced up it wouldn't take much. this is a stronger system but again the lows in the ooze. it's a mild air mass but the cold air is on the way. it will be here by the end of the week. we did have a 70 yesterday at morgan hill which very warm air over us. mid-50s for almost everybody on the current conditions. you can see the system. a lot of plumes of moisture taking aim at northern california and over the next five, seven maybe ten days we are in for a very active pattern. today cloudy and rain developing. heaviest in the north bay. temperatures are mild. still mainly low to mid-60s but warmer to the south. probably cooler to the north as they get more rain. and anywhere from about half an inch to two inches of rain likely for north bay. cloudy with rain and then a broad brush. we'll be drier days wednesday and thursday. but there will still be some showers zipping through that fast jet stream. friday a colder
