the man who died in this deadly shooting was latino and in his 20s. this is what we know from san jose's police spokesman this morning. someone reported hearing shots fired after 11:00 last night at checkers here in east san jose. an officer was even flagged down for help. when police arrived they found a man bleeding in the street with gunshot wounds. >> the officer performed cpr and the ambulance arrived. they were able to apparently revive the victim and transport him to the hospital where he subsequently died of his injuries. >> reporter: the shooting took place in a neighborhood filled with apartment complexes. so we don't know if the victim lived in the area or whether he was visiting. his name has not yet been released. police are looking for at least one suspect, possibly more. we've been told by a couple of officers out here they don't want to give out too many details because the shooter or shooters are still at large. the white car, a volkswagen jetta involved in the shooting was towed away about 45 minutes ago. officers told us they canvas
