their attorney, mark lipman, joins me now. mark, thanks for being with us.id your clients react to today's sentence? >> they listened as we did the other day when the verdict came back. and they're assimilating it and weighing everything that's happened. this has been a fantastic week as far as everything that's happened. when i say fantastic, i mean just the amount of information going on. it wasn't good or bad. my clients will comment on that when they're ready. but there's so much that happened this week that they're just soaking it all in and trying to figure out where they go from here. >> you know, every day i know george anthony, your client, had a picture of caylee on a badge that was on a notebook that he carried and he looked at throughout the trial. we're learning now that we're hearing from jurors that they really didn't buy george anthony's testimony a lot of times. one of the jurors saying she found him to be "dishonest". any reaction from him on that? were you surprised by it? >> i'm surprised by it. and obviously i'm an insider and i know my

joining us this morning from orlando is the attorney for cindy anthony, mark lipman.u. >> good morning to you. thank you for having me. >> some of this evidence might be compelling to some. how do you explain the disparity between her testimony, and the testimony of her employer? >> my client is adamant that she did those searches for chlorofill and chloroform. the dates in question, the 3/17 and the 3/21 dates, those were suggested by the prosecution. and she said if that's what you say it is, then it must be. but certainly my client never said those specific dates. she just knows she did those searches sometime in early 2008. she believes it was march. >> so you're saying, in fact, just might be a misunderstanding or confusion about the actual date? no matter what the date was, she's standing by her testimony that, in fact, she was at home, and doing those searches on the computer? >> absolutely. she knows she did those searches. she stands by what she said. it's a very material thing with very big sanctions, she's aware of those sanctions, around certainly she did

if you read the casey anthony statement issued today by mark lipman, they very carefully navigate awayfrom protesting casey's innocence. they very carefully do not say that she was innocent. so everyone, including her parents, believe she has some participation in what happened here, just not murder one. >> yeah, i mean, you followed the trial pretty closely here, dr. drew. what was your gut feeling when that verdict came in? >> that i wasn't that surprised. and people are going to be angry with me because the court of public opinion is so much angry and so much wants there to be a guilty verdict. but i all along thought, boy, if i were sitting in that jury box, i wouldn't be able to understand why a mother would in a premeditative fashion do this. i mean, sort of loose allegation was that she wanted just to be done with this child and go out and party. i've treated over 10,000 adicks and psych patients in my experience, and i've seen egregious parenting practice, leave kids on the street, abuse kids. not once did they think i need to off this kid so i can drug myself. not once. >> but
