also joining us is state representative sandy pasch. sandy, great to have you with us tonight. >> good to be here. >> there's tremendous enthusiasm throughout the state. both sides have worked hard to get the vote out. the tea party groups have come in the state the last four days. it's bolster john fitsz gerald. he says republicans will keep control of the senate. he said no question about it. what is your response to that? >> i think he's misinformed. obviously, he hasn't been in my district and talking to the people and seeing the level of enthusiasm we have. he's just wrong. [ applause ] >> sandy, alberta darling, your opponent tomorrow, alberta darling is as close to scott walker's ideas than anybody. has this helped your campaign? how are you going to beat alberta darling? >> well, i'm going to beat her because people really expected her to step up to use her 20 years of experience, her roll on joint finance to fight for the people in the state of wisconsin. she didn't. she let them down. she didn't listen. she was more in step wi

collective, anti-collective bargaining bill, and sandy pasch has put on a great fight against her. darling knows she's in a fight. that's why $8 million was poured into that district to support alberta darling and she's kind of like sharron angle, if we could go back to those days in nevada. alberta darling says anything. says, hey, we're not making cuts in education. what? you cut almost $1 billion in education. you know, chris, wisconsin's got everything. they cut corporate taxes. unemployment. in fact, has gone up a little bit under scott walker. cut the personal income taxes at the top levels that governor doyle used to have, brought that back. it hasn't done anything. they've cut the investment and it's hurt a lot of people, and people are riled up here, and i think it's going to be a big night for the democrats. i think they're going to get those three seats, possibly four. >> okay. that's what it's about. you have to win three out of six, they win control of the state senate, make this case. ed schultz, you're a big part of that fight. good luck pep "the ed show" is on tonig

with 7% of the vote in she leads her democratic challenger sandy pasch 71% to 29%.in, just 7% in. in district 10 the republican incumbent is state senator sheila harsdorf. democratic challenger shelly moore. with 54% of precincts reporting the republican harsdorf leads her democratic challenger 58% to 42%. in district 14, a republican incumbent is state senator luther olsen. his democratic challenger is fred clark. right now with 51% of precincts -- sorry, excuse me, with 30% of precincts reporting the republican incumbent leads his democratic challenger 51% to 49%.

joining us right now is sandy pasch, who we were just talking about there. she's the wisconsin state assemblywoman and the democratic challenger of that hot shot alberta darling, who is so close to the governor. you're laughing because you know the whole story out there. are you going to win tonight? >> i'm feeling really, really positive. i just came from the headquarters, and the energy there, the number of volunteers we have is unbelievable. over 1,000 people in the last few days. >> give me your pitch as you go around meeting people in the street. you got 30 seconds. i'm beginning to talk like ed schultz now. 30 seconds on the corner, want to win them over what's your pitch to vote for you not the governor's state senator? >> i'm new in politics. i've only been in office for a little over a term and came from 30 years of health care being a nurse, and i ran for office because i cared about the issues that matter to people and that's why i'm doing this again. >> what's at stake? >> ed -- what's at stake is education. what's at stake is working families, t

she is being challenged by sandy pasch whoo is up against almost $9 million. think about that, these are rural areas in wisconsin. i go back to my roots of fargo, north dakota, and i think of senators -- what would he do if he was facing an avalanche of $8 or $9 million, in a rural area, in a small town? i just find it absolutely -- put on the tv, lawrence, without seeing one bad ad over another, you can't turn on the radio without hearing one bashing ad over the other, it's one of the archives, it's exciting being -- >> ed, the polls close at 9:00 p.m., how quickly will they get the votes counted in these districts? >> that's a great point, there are some election experts here in wisconsin that think this is going to roll in pretty fast, that we may have all totals in by 11:00 p.m. eastern time tonight, and so i think we're going to have some conclusions here within the next probably 90 to 120 minutes. i think it's going to roll in pretty fast. there really have been no stories of any kind of real voter problems. down and that was quickly replaced and the cou

that antiunion bill is getting a strong push on the ground from the democrats and strong push from sandy pasch. i think she has an outside shot there. i think the democrats will pick up three, i think they'll get the majority back, they might get four, but this race is the crown jewel. if they with defeat alberta darlgts, if they can win in that district, that will be very good for the democrats, so enthusiasm here is high, but the fact is no one anticipated this kind of turnout, so what does it mean on a tuesday in august that has no record of this happening before. >> the race that you called the crown jewel, the legislator darling, senator darling, is very close to scott walker? she is very close. she has been instrumental in pushing forward the radical agenda. she has had $8 million poured in to support her from out of state. the comment was made earlier on this network about the democrats have outraised the republicans, that is not true. the republicans have far more money in all six of these districts. some of the democrats locally have outraised the local opponents, but the money that's
