that will be followed by morning news from 8:00 to 10:00. >> other news, firefighters in central andouthern california are on high alert this morning where several wildfires are burning. largest one is burning near a remote area in kern county. it started by a crash of a light plane that crashed and killed two people. hundreds of homes are still threatened by the fire. so far two firefighters have been injured and the fire is about 10% contained. >> farther south, a small fire has grown to 500 acres. this broke out yesterday afternoon in northern los angeles county. it threatened several homes and farms. this peir is 70% contained. >>> and another wildfire broke yesterday afternoon in canyon, in brentwood area of l.a. it burned about 50 acres near a church. airplanes and helicopters have been making water drops to help contain that blaze. >> but they have the one fact 'for, we don't have the wind. >> the winds will be offshore, that is why it will be like 95 in l.a. today but not the 50 mile-an-hour santa ana winds but they will be still be blowing those winds. it could be a dangerou
