and -- when we started discussions about this think bike workshop. we did this in other cities in the u.s. and we will be in that other big california city, los angeles, in a few other days. thursday, and -- thursday and friday. and i was convinced quite easily about the use to have these kind of work shops in l.a. but i thought san francisco, there's so much going on already. we had leah and for almost nine months in amsterdam and chairman david chiu and others for a week. and there is such great organization here and there are so many ideas. there are so many professional little here already about bike infrastructure and the future of biking. but it will come down to implementation and it's perhaps a bit like riding the wiggle. you have to push hard and hopefully we might be a sort of additional support, a sort of small electricity motor for you to push your -- up that hill. and it will come down to implementation and leadership and it's great to have a sort of down to earth approach during these two days. working in teams on i think three importan

so far there have been two community workshops for planning for the j.f.k. workshops. j.f.k. drive separated, one in june and one just earlier this week. we have seen overwhelming support for the concept as it's come through the multiple option stages to one particular option that's going forward with design details. through surveys, emails, neighborhood group meetings that we have been a part of, people overwhelmingly support it but fully separated. i wanted to make sure that you understood, we are excited about this one particular project, but we have a coalition, we have a vision called connecting the city where there are 100 miles of separated cross-town bike way that is get you everywhere you need to go on the bicycle. and j.f.k. drive is one part of that route. the city is also looking at projects on oak streets, the three blocks between the pan handle and scott street this year. market street is a continuele evolution project. once all these projects gets elevated, i think it's going to help the thousands of residents, thousands ever visitors to want toome to our parks

these workshops were led by you for your alumni. they facilitated the trainings and help to create the curriculum for the trainings. you if warriors then utilize their newly learned skills to lead you to advocacy day here in city hall on wednesday april 6, an historic day of youth civic engagement when high-school students met with their elected officials to talk about the issues they care about. on youth advocacy day, you for years led interactive workshops with high school students and city government and also help students prepare for their meetings with elected officials. they met with officials from some various departments, members of the board of supervisors, and mayor edwin lee. mayor li was gracious enough to address all of the participants. he shared his history and inspiring words about the importance of youth in city politics. i am happy to share with you today that mayor lee is here to help celebrate youth warriors. based upon those questions, we will direct them to the sba for workshops, courses. there is other entities that also provide workshop courses score as well in terms of helping to write business plans. also helping to educate the distinction between the micro lender, our bank, and our larger financial institutions and how those lending -- what is the difference in how this entities will lend, in addition to the sba loans that are available. also in response to the economic crisis, which hit a couple of months after we open our doors, the mayor reinstated the revolving loan fund, and we partnered with tmc working solutions, which is a micro lender, to provide a loan fund for start of an existing businesses to help them. today, that loan has given out 23 loans, and they are averaging around $15,000 or $25,000 each. another unique thing that the city is doing in terms of helping our businesses and dealing with capital needs is as a city, sometimes, we implement regulations, and you would think that might require some substantial capital for small businesses to do an und
