i am a youth. i am on the board of theyouth advisory. i am here because this is something that directly affects me. i have been here for three months. i came here from oregon that with $20 in my pocket. within 30 days, they help me get into a housing option. they transferred me into a shelter. i was able to finish gathering my birth certificate, my license, getting into college, and finding a house outside of the shelter. i am on two waiting lists for housing options. i heard people before me say that my peers, the concerns would be that we would be rambunctious or we would take up space. those are valid concerns. every week i work with six dedicated homeless youths including myself to try to change those assumptions. every day i see dedicated youth that are tried to get off the streets and are trying to do better with their lives. we chose this location just like the neighbors did. this is a safe place where we can get on our feet. i felt that their concerns are valid. we are doing the best that we can. we as youth are doing the best we

first, i am an avid cyclist. i am getting used to san francisco hills. our parking garage filled up quickly on the weekends and during the holidays could usually fills up during lunchtime. i live in the neighborhood and sea traffic backing up on the streets. we try to do a good job with the public. we try to encourage the use of alternative transportation. 71% of our staff can use sustainably. almost four million a year of our tenants drive. most of those folks are from outside of san francisco county. we ask that we keep in mind that parking is at a premium bid to a degree, it does feel like we are dividing up crumbs when it comes to five spaces vs seven, but it is important. also, the average length of stay for our guests is about four and half hours. putting parking limits on the weekends may not serve anyone's interests. we have those in our staff that do drive. oftentimes they are our front- line staff. they live in the city via the use lunch breaks to try to find another parking spot, which is counterproductive. also, we wanted to share that visito

i am amanda. i am another from occupy sf here to respond to some things that we have seen that are not quite constitutional that happened as a result of police action against us. i am going to echo again -- we are not leaving. we are not disbanding. the more the media says we are going away, the more people show up. every time we have been rated, we double in numbers. we have a lot of support from the community. like the raid that happened on sunday night, we were not warned. we were not given any kind of real direction. no one made an effort to tell us what needed to happen even though i worked really hard for that group in establishing communication with the police of san francisco police department. it is really -- is discussed the. in the way that sf pd and a lot of the people in that specialization have been treating occupy as though we are not wanted. as though we are some kind of horrible people. we are trying to be peaceful protesters giving an example of the change we want to see in peopl
