from northern anne arundel area from b.w.i. marshall south and west into virginia, the rain has been heavier. to the north, temperatures are in the mid-60s. even in the 50's around western maryland. but it gets warmer and even monday around here to the south to the eastern shore. even 80 degrees around salsbury. that is the area prone to set -- tenders from activity. temperatures will be steady overnight. the frontal boundary is triggering the thunderstorms. we thought another front, a strong cold front over the midwest * read through here. that comes through tomorrow afternoon. once this front gets through, a big area of high pressure and the weekend is still looking nice. tomorrow, maybe an afternoon thunderstorm. benett rapid the clears out by race time -- then it rapidly cleared out by race time on saturday. it will be kind of wende throughout the race on saturday morning. temperatures should be comfortable, but the wins will be gesten out of the west at over 20 miles per hour. once it gets here, it should last through our football

the ohio valley rain will work our direction overnight. 63 degrees for the official high in at b.w.i. marshallit was a typical day as far as temperatures in the afternoon, although the morning was quite mild with the lows in the 50's and we're supposed to be dropping back into the 40's. 70's on the lower eastern shore. expect mild temperatures tonight with a light breeze and cloud cover. cool, hit and miss showers and overnight lows in the 50's. this front the trails from the ohio valley does get in here tomorrow night into friday and it will be a lot colder. there could be some laden freeze conditions friday morning. west winds, 10 to 15 during the afternoon tomorrow. it will produce a 10 to 15 not top on the waters. -- attend a 15 foot drop on the waters. the hurricane irina was supposed to strengthen today. it is a threat to cancun and florida. it is expected to drift in that direction tonight and tomorrow and maybe impact the yucatan peninsula area with 80 mile per hour winds sometime tomorrow afternoon or evening. then it will weaken to a tropical storm category and had to cuba. flooding

at b.w.i. marshall, it was the wettest student over. the old record was set back in 1984.ches. that is a lot of rain, thanks to tropical storm lee and hurricane irene. as far as the rest of the day is concerned, partly cloudy skies will give way to mostly cloudy skies. we'll have afternoon showers, most likely in a greater portion of the area. we're monitoring an upper level low. on and off showers. temperatures anywhere from 56 to 62 degrees. this system will stay with us through monday morning, keeping temperatures in the mid to upper 50's tomorrow. then we get warmer on monday with a 20% chance of rain, but then high pressure takes over, and look at this, on the middle of next week, we're back into the mid 70's and we're dry finally. >> that would be nice. thank you, lowell. thank you for joining us.
