this is craig skalar live on the scene.re are a number of emergency vehicles here at ups at the hospital curved and this great dealing with it from the street down below. originally reported as an overturned tanker. the tanker truck could have overturned but it is not the tanker itself that caught fire, it appeared to be the cab of the vehicle. the cab fire appears to have been extinguished. there is a multi car crash that has to be contended with. it will be some time before this reopens. i spoke with california highway patrol. they have told me that there is a plan in place to put a hard closure on traffic through the city including the bay bridge forcing all traffic off at fremont street, fifth street and ninth street. the chp has a contingency plan in place. if you normally commute on the bay bridge, did not head there. do not take it westbound into san francisco, approach from the south on the san mateo bridge or golden gate bridge. >>darya: if you are in the east bay, you will be affected by this hot spot. >>george: i
