randi? >> so, alison, are investors second guessing the eu agreement? >> i think there is a little bit of seconds guessing going on. i think a lot of skepticism. you know, as i mentioned, there really is nothing in this plan that helps europe grow. it basically is plugging the debt hole that greece has. there are lots of questions of who's going to pay for it. you mentioned china. is china going to write a check? are private investors going to be part of it too? there are a lot of lingering questions as to how this plan is going to be paid for and how the implementation of it will be moving forward. but at this point, you know, when you look at the u.s. markets, how the reaction is, it is pretty quiet today because once again, the run-up was pretty hefty yesterday and you've got investors reassessing what that european debt deal means. randi? >> appreciate that. >>> and other stories we're developing at this hour, appliance maker whirlpool was slashing its workforce by 10%, cutting 5,000 job

this is, thank you randi by the way for having us.ery loud outcry about economic conditions and other issues in this country. this is about the other 99%. 1% of the country is very wealthy and powerful. there are a lot of people hurting right now. and what we're doing down here is using all our energy to give out a loud outcry and bring other people into this battle. that's one of the great things about the rally later this afternoon which is going to have a lot of representation from organized labor. we're very excited about that. >> there are so many issues here at play. there's the issue of unemployment, corporate greed, the environment, the wealth disparity. in terms of what this group wants at the end of the day, what do you think you can actually gain? >> to try and get more people involved is a huge effort because many of us are cynical, feeling despair and angry. this protest has tapped into that anger not only are people here because they lost jobs, they've got really big student loan payments, they also find when they come d

>> it's completely 100% about performance, randi.hat if perry had done well in his performances up to date in the debates, he would be salivating to go to the next one and the next one after that. so it is absolutely all about performance. but i agree with karen in one respect, which is perry does have enough money to get his message out in a form that is not a debate. he's got a lot of money to go up with scathing ads against romney. he's got a lot of money for a ground game and infrastructure and all of these key early states. but i think it is risky to not be there. and in fact what i think he should be investing in is a great opposition researcher who can hand him the quotes and the dates where mitt romney has flip-flopped on every major issue that we are talking about in this campaign. that's where i think his major flaw has been. he's got a lot of material against mitt romney, major flip-flopper and he's just not using it. >> yeah, but karen, when it comes down to debating, this is not like it is the first time rick perry has d
