this storm may do that as we crank across eastern canada.we've got some snow showers back to our west this morning and we've got those clouds mixed in, strong gusty winds that will all ease up tonight but we'll have waves of sclouds with that storm to our north, maybe some rain showers on and off into the weekend. today we're close to 43. a brief slip and then trying to work our way back with strong gusty winds that could reach 30 to 40 miles per hour this afternoon. partly cloudy sky at some point back to clearing, 25 skwoefr night. quick peek here at the rest of the week and it's early next week as well. again, temperatures back into the 50s on friday and saturday. could have some rain showers mainly north of baltimore as we're heading into the holiday weekend including more clouds on new year's day and that potential for an east coast storm. some models are locked in on it so it's still a question mark but it looks like a rain to mix some accumulating snow event on monday night into tuesday. let's see what's happening right now. 7 minutes

it's going to tap into what is going on into central canada and eastern canada and eventually drag thatstuff down. it will take one or two of these storms that crank up in eastern canada, north atlantic to help to pull down that air. that's what we're looking for, for the pattern to change the next five to seven days. we're watching that little cluster of snow across the upper midwest, western great lakes. it's likely to get past to our north. even though it looks like we have stuff close by that is probably just going to clip north of the border and just give us clouds today. there's that old storm cranking up, that is one of the reasons we toopped in some of the cold air from canada. we're going to need more help. there will be more help. the pattern though is about to change. this warm four, five degrees above normal this month is about to change as well. we'll have an increase in clouds today. next disturbance will bring in warmer temperatures. although we're chilly this morning we'll get our way back up to near or just above normal this afternoon. although we had this active flow a

the cold air in eastern canada a lot of places deep and well below zero that will slowly get in our vicinity. but we are watching a active jet stream with once again another storm hitting the pacific northwest. this is churning through the northern plains and that will actually help to lift the jet stream and bring back the surge of mild weather. once this gets through, the next push will actually drag down some of the arctic air early next week. we have a look at this and we will spin it mostly rain, snow on the north side and that stays to the north. rain trying to push into the mountains and we get some cloud out of that. but essentially the clouds build in like yesterday and i think yesterday it was a little surprise but mostly rain showers to the west and if we have anything sprinkles coming through tomorrow morning, we have a mild weekend and we break up the clouds in the afternoon and evening and then sunday looks very mild new year's day. may hurt if you are hung over but we are going to be in watching football. today 52. tonight back to 40. a chance of a shower. as we head into the
