andrea fujii is live on the scene. good morning, andrea. >> reporter: good morning, don and everyone. this was a long night for the police in anne arundel and baltimore city state police. all ended up here at patapsco village. the suspect was shot and taken to shock trauma. it started at 2:30 in the morning. we have unconfirmed reports that the suspect shot was wanted for a crime, possibly a city shooting suspect. again, that's an unconfirmed report. he was stopped in baltimore county on 695 for a traffic violation. once it was determined he was wanted, he tried to run and there was a fight with the officer and the suspect stole the cruiser and the cruiser was found empty and he was picked up by friends in a bronco. the bronco was chased here in south west baltimore, this shopping area. the suspect got out, somehow, the suspect was shot by the police and taken to shock trauma and we're not certain of his condition now. no officers were injured. it's not clear if the suspect shot back at the police. we know that the bro
