these are scenes over northern norway, and these were similar scenes, as well, in canada and alaska, as well as in siberia and the northern parts of europe. they were able to see scenes like that. amazing. >>> here locally, we're dealing with cold temperatures under a clear sky. i was hoping we would see the aurora last night, but we were just a little too far south to see. we are in the low to mid 30s in arlington, fairfax, prince george's counties, parts of northern virginia down into the 20s as is around the blue ridge. shenandoah valley and into the mountains, many locations there are below freezing. even a few spots at the eastern shore below freezing. parts of southern maryland, too. we have a few clouds passing over us. we'll have them off and on this morning. a lot of sunshine. sunrise at 7:20. climbing into the 40s as we get more cloudiness into the afternoon. upper 40s, perhaps near 50 later this afternoon. and then tonight, cloudy, and by dawn tomorrow, maybe a few sprinkles, maybe sleet. we ought to be above freezing. a greater chance of rain tomorrow during the middle of the day, afternoon an
