our main guy, rick reichmuth is there. how is it looking?they're going to start to see a little bit of rain move in. that means flooding concerns at least in seattle. the higher elevations it's all snowa lot of people have been wondering where winter is. here it is. anywhere you see the pink, winter storm warning is in effect. it includes places around lake tahoe and all of this ultimately good news for all the ski areas out there. take a look at this, shepard, a big long plume of moisture here continuing to head mostly now across oregon. over the next day, this will slowly shift towards the south and parts of northern california and in towards southern part of oregon is where we'll see the bull's eye of the moisture. still a lot of snow to be had over the next 48 hours. around the mountains of yellowstone and in towards idaho a lot of snow. maybe a couple of feet and shep, we'll be talking about a week's worth of storms continuing to move through this area. some spots around 10 feet of snow and they'll take it. shep? >> shepard: wow, rick r

rick reichmuth, freezing in manhattan with the latest. >> it's cold.ook at the temperature, 24 degrees. a lot of people don't think 24 is much but it feels cold because it hasn't been cold on the eastern seaboard this winter. the snowstorm was a lake-effect snow storm. by this time the lakes are almost frozen so you don't get lake-effect snow at this point but the lakes, so warm still this year, because it's been one of the warmest winters on record so far, warmest decembers on record. so now it's feeling cold, no worries, it's a quick shot of cold extending across florida last night. tonight will be one more cold one then everybody warms up. a seesaw pattern will continue. look at this one weather map and it shows the temperature change over the last 24 hours. you can see the eastern seaboard where it's cold. so much of the ohio valley and towards florida, your temps are 15 degrees warmer than you were 24 hours ago. tonight is going to be better and by tomorrow in new york city, we're back to 40 degrees and above where we should be. the month of decem
