bernadette woods and bob turk are tracking this storm. we begin with bob, who has an updated look at live doppler radar. bob? >> it is snowing north and west of the beltway. literally, the beltway up toward 95. take a look at radar. far western portions of the state, also getting snow. you can see the activity moving off quickly now to the east and northeast. lilt really, you could probably draw a line from about, say, bel air to the central portion of the city to columbia. all south of that line, it's all rain and light rain. north of it, it's primarily in the form of some snow activity. a little heavier stuff now across portions of frederick county. and some of that is going to be moving in our region in the next few hours. also, just as we head west in cumberland, there is a cutoff there. looks like we'll be probably dealing with snow and/or rain or mix. probably until about 7:30 or 8:00 this evening. that's where we could see problems because temperatures will be dropping later on tonight. take a look at temperatures now. the only pla

meteorologist bernadette woods and bob turk are updating our first warning weather conditions. we'll start with bob in the first warning weather center. >> i think they can take a few lessons from our drivers around here. that was pretty amazing. yeah, we missed that storm by about 150 miles look at that radar. not a cloud in sight. not a drop of precip anywhere in the region. looks like it will stay that way for a little while. temperatures in the upper 40s. even got into the upper 40s this afternoon. take a look at current readings. still at 48. 49 in washington. the only real cool spot you might call it, oakland at 39 degrees. what about your tuesday? bernadette woods has a look at what we can expect tomorrow around the region. >> reporter: well, what we've got is another storm approaching us from the west. and what's going to happen with it? it's going to fizzle out. take a look at this graphic. the majority of energy goes off to the north. and moves into dryer air. we're going to get some clouds from it. but the snow drought continues. mild winter goes on. as this passes b

meteorologist bernadette woods and bob turk are updating our conditions. bob? >> if the weather didn't put you in the mood, maybe the stock market would today. warm front forming to the south of us. already a little shower activity. pittsburgh up to cleveland and detroit. and eventually, the clouds will be moving in our direction. look for a wet day tomorrow. but temperatures are mild right now. we're at 53 degrees. around the baltimore region. generally, temperatures today got into the low to mid-50s. still above normal. but about 8 or 9 degrees. cooler than what we saw yesterday. but we'll take it. however, tomorrow looks like a cool and damp day. as far as temperatures go this weekend, temperatures have been remarkable to say the least. bernadette has a look at comparisons. >> reporter: it is absolutely incredible. we're almost done with what we call meteorological winter. take a look at numbers. our average high for each month has been so far above normal. in december, we averaged over 50 degrees. this month so far, we're averaging 57 degrees. and each and

meteorologist bern bernadette williams and bob turk are tracking the weather. >> as you can see, it's a lot different south of the city. in fact, there's a heavy burst of snow that is going to move through some of those areas that we saw particularly across the western regions of the area. right now, light rain and snow mixture in the city. south of us, it's been mainly rain. but out here, it's been almost all snow. we've got a report of almost two inches in portions of northern frederick county. and now to the west of us, it's cutting out, pretty much ending just west of hancock. cumberland now, just cloudy skies. we probably have about three or four more hours to deal with this precip. and most of this will be in the form of snow. and perhaps even moderate snow at times. still quite mild. generally light rain will continue until this evening. temperatures, still above freezing. almost all places, except north and west. and that's where we're seeing the issues, even up in elkton. now down to 33. very close to the freezing mark. and later, that's where we're going to see real black ic
