collin goddard was shot four times at virginia tech.red, graduated, still has a bond with fellow survivors now. he advocates stronger gun laws as well. he's working with the brady campaign to prevent gun viole e violence. he joins us live from d.c. this morning. thank you so much for being with us. can you tell me where you were and how you felt when you saw this unfolding yesterday? >> good morning. i was literally getting ready for work. putting on my clothes and i saw the news break. immediately i knew that yesterday was going to be a tough day. as much as the progress i made since the shooting at virginia tech years ago, i get thrown back to day one when i see this happen to another family. i know other people are getting a phone call and not knowing the outcome of one of their loved ones. they're going through the same series of emotions and that the students don't speak out? >> that's a great question. unfortunately, i think students think that their friends are joking. they think that no one is going to take it seriously, they th
