today at 5:00, sharon chin found out sex crimes happen on bay area transit a lot more than you might think. sharon. >>> reporter: for three major transit agencies, police report 95 sex crimes and 370 million riders. that's just a fraction of 1% but some say those numbers could be higher. rachel thompson describes encountering creepy men on bart. >> i have seen probably like someone following a girl and i have actually reported it a couple of times. >> reporter: police documented 95 sex crimes on bart, muni and a.c. transit in all of last year. that includes 35 indecent exposure cases, 25 cases of sexual battery, and the remainder unwanted lewd behavior. police report 405 rests. most of the case were on bart. 76 sex crimes with arrests in half of them. bart police explained the high numbers. >> they are perhaps people either could not be reporting it or it could be that they just aren't reporting it because there's no one there that they can tell and bart also carries a large number of riders so there are more people on bart. >> reporter: muni logs 15 sex crimes, most for sexual batte
