supervisor campos: i definitely appreciate the presentation from sfusd and city college about what our nonprofit agencies are doing. what is missing is what you said. what is our business community doing alongside us? what can we do to increase the number of internships, and to incent folks to provide more resources. i am interested in having a conversation and have started at conversation about how we create a culture of citizens that take this seriously. that we need to invest in the next generation of our workforce. many of our employees are not necessarily san franciscans are not necessarily educated in san francisco. one thing i would like to ask is i am happy to meet with the folks that presented today and start thinking about what we as elected officials can propose to the business community. there is work that has been going on in this area, but we have to continue to do a more specific job of making that and making that be a specific part of what it means to be a corporate citizen. i want to recognize the good work that has already happened in this area but i feel like we have

i want to hold the board accountable for providing a proper, transitional kindergarten program. it seems as though sfusd is looking for an excuse not to provide a program. let's face the factory is still law, it is reality. -- let's face the facts. it is still law, it is reality. we are talking about 300-400 school kids who will be impacted this year. if you project those numbers, it will be close to 1000 school kids in three years. we need a proper program. when a program that has some thought put into it. a program that does not change every five minutes. we need sfusd to stop cherry picking and choosing the plate -- the pieces of information they want to choose to change the course. it is a law. i saw the pieces of paper that went around. you are choosing the government's proposal. if you waited a couple of days, you would have seen the response from senators. you have got to look at all of the facts. you have to take a balanced view rather than choosing which pieces of information you enact -- you act upon an spreading misinformation to parents. giving parents two options at the far southeast corner

these students are reflections of sfusd and go out into the community. and i have heard you speak elsewhere. i am a living witness an i can attest to your abilities of being able to communicate, what's going on with you and so many adults desperately want that but don't even know how to articulate i need you to communicate with me so i understand. sorry it's selfish but i only have so much band witt and for some reason i can't hear a young person the way i should. peer resources students and mentors and jump start with all the different categories that students are in can translate for adults and we get it. and that's what i really value because so many students are out here in the adult world and stressed and to be able to have communication by a young person about the really important things is amazing. we have two fine examples of principals how the resource has benefited the entire school community. and i have seen it at both schools. i think it's it early amazing and it's not just the students and it draws other teacher and students into the peer re
