this is a transportation plan and it is a subset of the larger western plan which is a larger land use plan so what this study did was look at specific capital projects in terms of alleyway improvements and then a sheriff street design and this advance to the design to community outreach and established the analysis that will be cleared as part of the larger land use planned environmental report. this work is strictly transportation-related and it has designed an average and cost assessment for the next page of work. once it undergoes a full environmental review and approval, these will be ready for implementation. does that answer your question? >> the transportation -- >> i understand that, i have reviewed everything but it was not clear to me. what i don't want to do is that i am not prepared to support that plan, they're a lot of issues with it in various respects and soak i am trying to figure out of supporting this in any way puts -- >> i imagine that these benefit existing residence and existing needs said they're not specifically tied to future growth. >> if i can speak to that

transportation corridors for literally what comes to a third of the city. i think this was a very large endeavor, a very ambitious effort by the city to take this on. nevertheless, the eastern neighborhoods area plan came up with its recommendations and the m.t.a. was tasked to develop the transportation supporting measures to underpin the decisions approved by this commission a little while back. we went through this process of going through the existing conditions and future conditions looking at the land use growth assumptions that were approved by this commission and the regional growth that would be happening in the background and then really took a look at what could happen in these corridors and how we could move forward in a way that was meeting the majority of our goals in the city. this two-year process included extensive community outreach and community feedback. there was a lot of opinions on what could happen on these corridors and on these streets and which streets should go first and which should go second. we went through an extensionive prioritization process where we narrowed down three major corridors of focus and those three corridors are 16th street, folom street and howard st

still, the complexity of the transportation plan, the housing of people here, even to this weekend -- i was working on the taxi hackathon, making sure that they are servicing all the different visitors we expect for the event. we are fully expecting the economics to be as great at it had been. >> could you follow up on those potential construction jobs at pier 30/32 that will be lost? >> i do not have all the details there. obviously, the immediate development of 30/32, there will not be those jobs there because we will not be developing. does that mean it is forever lost? i do not think so. those piers are very attractive to future development. we will have the discussions in the future. they are planning for this. it is not forever removed, but for this race, at this time, i believe it helps with going forward with consolidating everybody here and making sure the race is the primary focus and timeframe that we want to have to have a successful race. >> [inaudible] >> and the scope of the project at 30/32 was to repair -- refurbish those piers. i think the estimate was $30 million. w

octavius circulation studies, bay shore intermodal access the study, western soma neighborhood transportation plan, and major improvements to our forecasting models. we also obtained a trout -- caltrans grant for the bayview hunters point mobility solutions study. this is a seminal effort on how to do more with what we have and to knit the community together in the process. we're looking forward to completing the study this year. we have also made progress on the bike county study which is a multi-jurisdictional, multi- agency, multi-year study to look at the southeast corner of the city and adjacent areas in some detail county. in 2011, this effort resulted in priority projects worth over $600 million, including a geneva brt line, reconfigured candlestick interchange, and other improvements. i anticipate you will have a report on that in the next couple of months as well. the chair already mentioned the agreement on the presidio parkway second phase funding. i will not review that again. we also have underway the process for getting the van ness brt project on the ground, the draft eir eis was re
