missouri. into southern iowa and eastern sections of nebraska. right through this area right here.and sunday. if you don't know anybody heading out that way issue it's very rare for the weather service, severe storm center to issue something this far ahead of time. but this region right in here, raul of the ingredients are coming together. warm moisture coming out of the gulf of mexico. a very strong jet stream coming from california, going to spin right through there. so we have this warm air coming up there. colder, dry air in behind it. that's where that spin is going to happen. it could be very large, dangerous tornadoes in that area. we're talking saturday and sunday in this portion of the plain state. we'll be watching that. people out there have been advised to take shelter already. get out of that region. this will be a major outbreak. in the meantime, cold air. look at that. snow in the sierras. these areas of showers are not really going to impact us a whole lot. we've got clear skies in the east. the front associated with that will bring us a risk of a shower or thunders

missouri valley to the gulf of mention do. another system starting to show itself in the pacific northwest with rain and mountain snow. that first trough moves to the easternts of the country in it wednesday that. will move off shore. still good rain on wednesday as we head through the northeast. scattered showers and thunderstorms along the cold front into florida. the southeast can use the rain as well as severe drought in parts of that area. we will start to see moisture with a zonal flow with the jet stream. little ripples from west it east through thursday and into friday. each of those will bring a chance for rain and possible thunderstorm as well, and on friday you can see that will happen in the northeast, great lakes, down in to the missouri valley, central mississippi valley and then out west we will see the next system with rain in mountain snows as well. far as temperatures for next week this would take us almost to the end of april, above normal for the southeast. west texas, western plains, below normal for maine, near normal for much of the corn belt as far as temperatures are expected to be and below normal for the park northwest. precipita

eastern seaboard from for all the way into new england as high pressure exits the coast. what is happening in the plains? once -- the outbreak. the storms are just turning to press east into the -- missouri entire band of thunderstorms will expand east and move north throughout the day. that is where we still have the major threat for severe weather. yesterday, over 100 reports of tornadoes here today, the same year we have all the ingredients we need to get the severe weather outbreak. the warm air to the east, cool to the west. the clashing of the air masses forms this thunderstorm. the extra ingredient is the wind changing with tight hear the wind changes direction with tight and that is what we call wind shear. that forms the tornadoes. here is the main risk for tornadoes today. des moines, iowa to wisconsin. a strong risk. moderate right now where we will have many areas seeing strong tornadoes. a slight risk extending from upper michigan all the way down into texas. this will shift to the east as we head into tomorrow. western pennsylvania and west virginia by tomorrow night. here is a look at the seven-day forecast. the cold front passes by maryland but we will see a drop in tempe
