joining me now representative jackie speer, democrat of california.ongresswoman, you have been such a powerful voice for the expansive definition of violence against women for the bill as it should have been passed. how do you feel after the vote? >> i feel that the republicans are showing their hand. they want confrontation over compromise. at this junction we're not reauthorizing a bill that has been reauthorized three times before and bipartisan support, every senate republican woman member voted for it, we're spending our time now with republicans nickel-and-dimeing issues that should be part of the bill, including whether or not a native american woman can bring an action in her tribal court against her husband or domestic partner who has been violent to her and immigrants who are married to u.s. citizen who is are victims of domestic violence. and the lbgt community, who in a domestic partnership where there is violence, regardless of what the sexual orientation or whether or not you have a marriage license or not, we should be in a position whe

something can be done, maybe opposing more quickly the speering penalties?tect you guys against concussions that can lead to these serious brain injuries? >>> well the nfl is trying to do a good job of talking about the way we tackle as alluded to speering each other. as the technology comes out we need those that are putting together our helmets to take those features in the process of helping froekt us from these collisions. the way everything is evolving our technology has to keep up with the athlete participating with the game. >> do you support the lawsuit filed against the nfl that is 1600 former players and their family. do you support that lawsuit? >> it is hard to to understand. i don't know both sides of the nfl or most players filing the lawsuits to know what their g going through and when they wake up to know what they go through. i believe the nfl and player also try to get those resolved so players like myself and those coming behind me have something to know we are going to be protected fror myself and each other. >> when do you start training
