senior white house correspondent wendell goler is live on the north lawn with the latest. leave yesterday after actually spending the day in the office here in washington. the accidents occurred saturday evening. bryson spent part of that night in a hospital in los angeles. in a statement released last night he said, quote, effective immediately, i am taking a medical leave of absence so that i can focus all of my attention on resolving the health issues that arose over the weekend. bryson rear-ended a car saturday in the los angeles suburb of san gabriel. he got out of his car, then got back in and hit the car again as he drove away. he hit a second car about five minutes later and police found him unconscious, slumped over the wheel after that incident. none of the occupants of either car he hit was seriously hurt. a spokeswoman says he suffered a seizure at some point during the sequence of events, but it's unclear if it was before the first crash or as a result of one of them. the white house was at a loss to explain it. >> this circumstance is pretty unique in that se
