i would encourage people to look at the, you know, the whole thing of clark kerr and the master plan the history of the university of calf system where it came from why we have it and what an asset it is. and i think that that's really inpiring. so i think for people who go to sacramento, it's a hard job, and the choices are gut-wrenching. these are not easy trade-offs. so as the people who are symbol for policy look at making those trade-offs, the question is, it's like when you are in a company, you know, i made invisit investments when i was manufacturing a portfolio of products and i always had to think about, okay, what are the returns we need one year, five years, 10 years from now? so i would argue like many other investments, higher education has that kind of pay-off, and for the citizens when i look at the kind of -- the kinds of illnesses, alzheimer's, autism, parkinson's disease, cancer diabetes solving the obesity epidemic we are having in this nation, these are huge issues for the quality of life of californiaages and the nation and the world. so i would want those polic
