i think it's cheap now. >> mike murphy, do you agree? >> i agree with pete. you have to go out that far. if you look at next year's numbers if cat is going to coin and earn $10 with negatives priced into the name, if they do $10, 10 times at 100, deserve a premium. put it 12 times, $120 stock off the price of $83. i think cat gets very interesting here. i think this note is coming out as the stock already correct add large portion of what it's going to correct. remember, any sort of positive news out of china, any sort of big rate cut you can see cat off to the races. i think you can start to buy down here. >> all right. with the somber jobs report putting pressure on the market next guest says moorhead on the horizon, founder of sea breeze joins us now. i get your overall reaction to the jobs report but you see in a most recent note we're at a critical juncture for the stock market. >> several factors concern me. firstly, the direction lower in the economy and profits. obviously secondly is the waning impact of monetary policy here and in europe. there is in

mike murphy, what do you think about cat? does it deserve to drop on the cummins news we got earlier this week or is cat a totally different story sh? >> i think cat's a totally different story. however, we're long cummins. i think cat has more headwinds and things to overcome. just yesterday, the larngest maker of excavators in china cut their growth forecast down to 10%. this is still going to be a headwind for caterpillar. although the 7.6% gdp growth from china is a good number for the market, i don't know if it's enough to support cat and get it moving higher. i think long term, caterpillar is going to be great. right now, i'd want a little more clarity before i jump in. >> when talking about caterpillar, we're talking about a longer-term story. i have not seen any reason to necessarily jump in right now. yes, it's extremely cheap. there's one reason you'd say, why not? but i'm not seeing a lot of institutional buyers stepping into caterpillar at this point in time. but if you look at some of the earnings, $13 in 2014, $

. >> doug, mike murphy here. just had a quick question regarding the downgrade on morgan stanley a few weeks back. at that time a lot of people were talking about the potential for an acquisition on morgan stanley, that they would have to put themselves up for sale. can you speak to that at all, the potential for morgan stanley being bought out? >> i don't see that as a real distinct possibility. right now no big bank wants more assets. i don't see that as a possibility. what i think you're going to see, though, for m.s. is a little more aggressive restructuring which sounds like it's going to start to come on the fixed income side. >> i mean, are we looking at morgan stanley sort of revision assist, looking back for the glory days? because the environment they're facing now is extraordinarily difficult. those fixed revenues, they were a disaster. this is a company that missed by $500 million on the revenue side. so i get the stock might be cheap valuation, but i'm not even sure that that's a reasonable argument
